Selling is more than having things you think people would want, you gitea make them feel what they are getting and they themselves worth whatever they are buying: make every customer feel special. Here in a area full of young guys and ladies, students of university, there are over a thousand shops in the whole off campus areas. The best time to buy for me is night, I get to see things, you know, people going out to buy things too, mostly cooked foods, food stuffs or junks. Shops owners are busier at night because people want to get something to fill their belly.

I have a favourite place for everything. I think that's normal for everyone to have their go-to shops. There is this particular woman that sells raw foods like rice, spaghetti, pepper, fish and meat, etc. At first, I just buy from her because she was the closest not until I met one of the girls working for her, Christiana: dark skin and just a little bit chubby. She made me their customer because of how she treated me and my friends. She would asked after my friend whenever he doesn't come with me to buy, she kinda try to engage us in conversations most of the times, trying to sell us something else or giving us a tip, an extra ingredient to add, and more whinings too.
I got so used to buying from this particular shop that the owner of the shop and other sales girls knows that only Christiana attends to my friends and I. She sometimes direct the rest of the workers there on how to attend to us if she's very busy with something else. And Christiana smiles at all customers, I have never seen her frowning or being rude to customers. That was her charm to get us to buy from them. In all of the school areas, I would say she is the only person that makes me feel so welcome to buy and smile back that I spent my money at the right shop. I prefer to wait till she's free to attend to me. Oh yeah, I also get freebies from her once a while, extra fish and all that๐ . When I pass by the shop, she calls my name to greet me everytime.
However, I so much hate to be treated like I don't matter when I am buying. I'd rather not go to the shop again or let a rude attendant sell to me. At the same shop where Christiana works, there was this lady that sold to me and I didn't like the outcome at all. I have always being avoiding her, she doesn't smile (doesn't have a bad look though) but I just feel like I wouldn't like it when she attends to me. Lo and behold, she was the only one less busy this particular day, so I had to let her sell. I bought some tomatoes, pepper and fish, blended the pepper. As expected she kept a straight face while attending to me, it was weird to me because I was used to Christiana attending to me. I got home and was already cooking when I found out that the fish she sold for me was missing one. I was pissed because it was too late to go back. The next time she sold for me, she gave me some bad fish and I was wondering if that's how she is to other customers or just to me because I initially didn't like that she is not smiling and engaging at all. Not exactly my worst but I never liked my encounter with her.
