There are times i wish i can just shut the digital world, not everything entirely but at least 70% of the people who go online and share fake news and leave we the audience in shock especially if it's something most of us love or if it's someone we all love and deeply care about...
Countless times i have cried over listening some fake news about the deaths of my favorite actors and actresses, rumors of their death spreaded like wild fire and i can remember vividly crying my eyes out when i saw some online articles and later finding out that the person was just involved in a ghastly accident and he is currently hospitalized with no further news...
Why would someone just go online and write something they are not sure of only to leave we the audience to deal with the shock, is that normal??
Some do it out the profit of it and while others are just so bad at doing the wright thing which is a wrong thing to start with at first..
One of the qualities a good one must possess as an news blogger is to have a trust worthy and detailed source and if your source doesn't have a accurate news, you can just share the little your source is sure of and then you can end it with there is no further news after the accident...
This will still strengthen a lot of people including his/her fans to pray for his/her well being and hoping he or she is found soon and this is normal..
There is one that happened of recent, which made me cry but after i remembered that fake news are going viral, i was consolled a bit and did my own diggings until i found prove that he is still alive and well..
AN EXPERIENCE WITH FAKE NEWS...
Yes, i have had several experience with fake news and it was the recent one that shocked me the most, this is a news concerning the DEATH of a veteran nollywood actor OSITA IHEME best known as one of the AKI AND PAWPAW brothers..
On seeing this news online, tears immediately dropped from my eye because i saw how the car crashed and there was barely something left of the car and following it was a news that he was involved in a ghastly accident that claimed his life, everything was just perfect and the car in the picture was made so real that i could not stop the tears from dropping...
I was crying slowly because he is my favorite actor in the nollywood industry and hearing of his demise made me feel broken, i checked other sites and it was saying the same and it was at that moment i remembered i was also a blogger and decided to dig out the truth because in my country, the rate of fake news to reality is 10:1..
I went online and dug further and sooner than later i started seeing different stories about the accident and it was at this moment i knew that people went to dig up a past story of the accident that occurred with his CAB..
The stories i saw where not inclined with the other and i went to YOUTUBE and saw the same thing and eventually i got to his INSTAGRAM PAGE and found out he posted a recent picture of he and his family and about two days ago was a picture of himself going out...
It was at this moment i was convinced that it was all a scandal and fake news, the truth of the matter i found later was that one of his cab which he assigned out to his boys was involved in an accident and he claimed that NO LIVES WERE LOST..
The fake news of his death was DEBUNKED by him in an interview and i was happy and all the same time angry at the person who first put up the news of his death..
In summary, after thorough digging, i found out that the so called accident which was said to take place some months ago was an accident that took place 7 years ago, 2015 to be precise..
In conclusion, i did my own investigation and i arrived at a very detailed and convincing conclusion and with the interview, i was back to my normal self and what next??
LIFE GOES ON in the nollywood industry...
