Pues yo sé que mandará a sus hijos, y a su casa despues de sí, que guarden el camino de Jehová haciendo la Justicia y Juicio (Genesis 18:19)
ESTA DECLARACIÓN tan bella parecería que está ubicada en un pasado que difícilmente volverá a formar parte de la realidad. ¿Por Qué? Porque hoy los padres de la familia estar más preocupados por proveer los bienes materiales que su familia necesita, que por velar por la vida espiritual de los suyos. Cada familia cristiana debería ser un ejemplo ante el mundo del poder del Señor y de su Capacidad amplísima para el bien. Otras familias, al observar los resultados de un hogar semejante, podrían a su vez seguir su ejemplo.
Hace poco una maestra de una escuela primaria secular le preguntaba a una joven pareja de padres cristianos cómo hacían inculcado en su hijo una cortesía y modales tan poco frecuentes en el siglo XXI. Ellos le respondieron que la educación cristiana prepara a la persona no tan solo para ser fiel a Dios, sino para ser útil y miembro activo de la comunidad.
Los ángeles celestiales visitan a menudo el hogar donde Dios empuña el timón. Bajo el poder de la gracia divina dicho hogar se convierte en un lugar de refugio para grandes y chicos. Allí no se permite que el yo imponga sus normas, sino que cada uno tendrá tanto derechos como deberes. La fe que obra por amor y purifica el alma debe dirigir las actividades de dicho hogar.
<<Una familia bien ordenada y disciplinada influye más en favor del cristianismo que todos los sermores que se puedan predicar>> (El hogar cristiano, cap. 4 p. 22). <<Una luz, por pequeña que sea, si está siempre encendida puede servir para prender otras muchas>> (El ministerio de curación, p.333). Nuestra esfera de influencia podrá parecer limitada, nuestras capacidades pequeñas, nuestras oportunidades escasas, reducidos nuestros recursos; no obstante, si sabemos aprovechar lo que nos ofrece nuestro hogar, podremos realizar maravillas>> (Servicio cristiano, p. 258).
La Influencia de una vida hogareña vigilada durante la infancia y la juventud, es la salvaguardia más segura contra la corrupción del mundo.
Señor, permítenos tener familias así. Que podamos honrar y dignificar tu santo nombre hoy y siempre.

THIS beautiful DECLARATION would seem to be located in a past that will hardly be part of reality again. Because? Because today the parents of the family are more concerned with providing the material goods that their family needs, than with watching over the spiritual life of their loved ones. Every Christian family should be an example to the world of the power of the Lord and of his vast capacity for good. Other families, observing the results of such a household, might in turn follow suit.
A secular elementary school teacher recently asked a young couple of Christian parents how they instilled in their son courtesy and manners so rare in the 21st century. They responded that Christian education prepares a person not only to be faithful to God, but also to be useful and an active member of the community.
Heavenly angels often visit the home where God is at the helm. Under the power of divine grace, said home becomes a place of refuge for young and old. There the self is not allowed to impose its rules, but each one will have both rights and duties. The faith that works by love and purifies the soul should direct the activities of such a home.
The Influence of a guarded home life in childhood and youth is the surest safeguard against corruption in the world.
Lord, allow us to have families like this. May we honor and dignify your holy name today and always.
