Narcissus. An ancient legend about Narcissus (son of the river god Kefis and the nymph Liriopa) says that this young man died, admiring his reflection in the river, unable to look away from him. At the place of his death grew beautiful flowers - daffodils. And hence the term narcissism.
In ancient times, narcissus essential oil was used in perfumery, but due to the appearance of cheap synthetic fragrances with a similar smell, it is now practically not used.
