Almost every one of us have written on this essay “My Aim in Life” in our childhood. It is one of the most common essays we used to have in school time and this used to be my favorite one. It has a very deep impact on children to think and finding out the purpose of their lives, to focus on something and making a goal to achieve in life. This essay helps to motivate a child, a student to make his/her own path to that destination where he wants to go and it is necessary to know what a child wants to be in his life.

Since childhood, my ambition was to join military and wants to be a soldier. I was very fond of it and my inspiration was my Grandfather who served in military. I always wanted to be a part of Army and serve my country. Well, you can serve your country in anyway, it’s not like an army officer is the only one who serve his country but it was my passion and still is.

There could be various reasons behind this choice. One of them is discipline, which is the most important and basic thing in normal life as well. I really like the way how an army officer lives his life. It is a tough job and that is what makes it more interesting. I would love to experience that feeling to be on the borders protecting your country so the citizens can have a safe and secure life to live, sleep peacefully. That would be a proud moment for me but it is a very big responsibility as well.
A life of a soldier is full of challenges, tough time away from the loved ones, even no holidays or festivals, duty is duty, gets stronger day by day to tackle every situation whether it is physically or mentally. The training and exercises makes them fit and steel body. I love the uniform and salutation. There is nothing which I don’t like about an army officer that is why I was ready to get those challenges.
The only thing which makes me a little uncomfortable is the involvement of Army in politics. I think and always wanted military to focus on their duties and take right decisions to be stronger and spread peace in the region. Military and politics, both are different entities and both should be kept apart from each other. Military should always be neutral and the power of citizens. It is them who have courage and expertise to help the nation in big disasters.
If I would be in such a position, I would ask my fellow citizens to take part in the trainings and would deploy team area wise to give trainings to the young children and woman how to handle the worst situations, self-defense and some basic skills, which would be helpful in their daily lives. In my opinion, a soldier never wants a war but if required, he will not fall back until he is able to live in any circumstances for his beloved country. It is mandatory for the militaries all over the world to be on the same page so, if required could together take up the matters and help each others at times of need in any disastrous situations.
