Being the youngest in my family, I was the last in my brothers to get married. And I was the one in my family who got married too late, I mean I was 31 years of age whereas my brothers got married when they were below 30. But I must say, I was the one who enjoyed the most on his wedding day. There are several reasons behind it.
Each and every country has their own cultures and traditions for wedding. I have seen many and I think Pakistani weddings are too lengthy, there are so many events and functions before and after the actual wedding day. It totally depends on the couples, some people don’t like that much of dragging and functions so they keep it simple and short. But in my case, it was of two weeks long wedding. Thanks to my parents and my brothers, they made it extra special and enjoyable.
The best part of my wedding is it was an arranged marriage but no one believed it because of my dance performance, activities and gossiping with my wife throughout the wedding. The fact is I had a first talk with my wife on my Mehndi day but she was feeling scared and maybe shy so she didn’t talk much and smiled on each and every thing I said to her. I tried to make her comfortable and requested her not to get stressed or upset with my funny acts because I am a jolly person. we had a photo and video session on that day so I tried my best to make her feel comfortable and was success in doing so.
Nikah is the most important and main part of wedding for muslims. My Nikah was held on 28th Dec 2018. This was the day when I first met my wife personally. I was looking so happy that everyone was pointing on my happiness. Why wouldn’t I be? It was a special and happy day for me. After Nikah, party started and we had nights full of singing and dancing. My house was full of guests and it was looking amazing.
Let’s jump to my wedding day, I am amazed to see my own pictures in that traditional groom suit with Turban. It was looking amazing. In fact, the thing which I like about my wedding was not just my own suit but the clothing of my whole family was amazing. So dynamic, colorful and all of us were looking dashing and fabulous. Not many men dance on their wedding day in Pakistan but I did and people were liking it. Then we had an entry of a bride, I walked to her, grabbed her hand and took her on the stage where we had a lot of fun. People were making videos through their mobiles as it we are celebrities and that’s the truth, we were celebrities for that specific day lol
I always wanted to write about my wedding but not this short, I will make chapters of it to share each and every stage and step I took and experienced on my wedding. Hive learners community provided me opportunity to open up about my wedding day. There are many more things to tell and share with Hivers and will do in my upcoming posts. For now, I would like to tell you all that I am happily married and I was way too much happy and enjoyed each and every moment of my wedding day. One more thing by which you all will agree with it is that I do watch my wedding movie with my family or alone once in a month. In short, I kept running from getting married but when I got a chance, I took full advantage of it by enjoying and having fun.
