Hi guys,
Hope we are all doing great today. As usual, we have another here at topic with which we can write about our experiences in life. This one was kinda tough for me to write about cause I couldn’t think of a situation that I’ve been in that turned out to be some sort of joke.
But then I remembered the time I was in shs. In shs, I will say I had a lot of fun experiences. Some of them have been bitter experiences which I seem to find funny now.
Am sure we all have friends and sometimes our friends go the extra mile to prank us even though sometimes these pranks are not the ideal type of pranks that people shouldn’t do on each other. I remember this one vividly, even though I laugh about it these days, I still think it was a stupid prank in all honesty.
So back at shs, I didn’t sleep on time. Even though we were required to be out of the dormitory by 5 am, this didn’t stop me from doing whatever I wanted and sleeping at the time that I wanted to sleep. So this caused me to sleep in class most time.
I knew it wasn’t ideal for me to sleep very late at night time but then what can I do if I am nocturnal? I seem to function very well at night even though sleeping in the afternoon doesn’t help me that much. This means that even though I was required to be out of the hostel by 5 am, it didn’t serve as a yardstick to sleep early.
So on one of those days, we had an English lesson. In all honesty, our English teacher was one of those teachers who seemed to be jovial in our eyes but could get easily angry at times. So it seems on one of those days I was not fortunate. I was dozing off in his class whiles his lesson was going on.
I suddenly heard him mentioning my name when I raised my head from the desk he was standing in front of me. Out of the blue, he asked me a question. To be sincere I was confused when I woke up from sleep.
I had no idea what he was teaching. Suddenly I heard a whisper from my best friend Amidu. He told me the answer and I quickly blabbered it out to the teacher with a lot of confidence. I thought my friend was in to save the day.
To my surprise the whole class started dm laughing, I had said something which didn’t even concern what the teacher was teaching. Immediately, the teacher got angry and asked me to kneel in front of the class. Before I knelt he gave me heavy knocks all over my body. I looked at my friend in anger.
He made a fool out of me but then I didn’t find it funny. I knew he was silly as I am but then that was not expected of him. Maybe he didn’t know what the reaction the teacher was before pulling a fast one on me but it was pretty intense.
I know we all love to joke sometimes but then before we do some pranks I think we have to think through it. Not all of us are lucky to escape punishment after a silly prank has been done on us.
