Heartbreaks I believe comes in different stages. Most heartbreak might break you down for few days and then you're back on your feet, while most heartbreaks damage you so badly that you'd never want to be in a relationship ever again.
A friend of mine had invited me to come stay at her place for a few days. The first sleepover was amazing, we talked about almost everything until we finally dozed off. The next day which was a Saturday, we had agreed to do some clean up, she also mentioned that her boyfriend would be coming over later in the day. After the clean up, it was already past 11 and we were so exhausted, so we settled for a light meal (bread, butter and tea) to eat first before we will prepare something else. After eating we rested for awhile.
Hours later my friend picked up her phone, she didn't get any text or call from her boyfriend so she decided to call because it was getting dark already. She called repeatedly but he wasn't answering, she texted but no reply she was beginning to get worried, then she tried reaching most of his friends but they had no idea of his whereabout.
It was past 8, and my friend still hadn’t heard from her boyfriend. I decided to go freshen up in the showers when few minutes later I heard an object smashed to the floor. I quickly came out from the bathroom only to see my friend sitting sadly on the floor with tears freely flowing down her cheeks.
Rachel what's wrong? I asked, but she could barely say a word so I picked up her phone and read the text. It was from her boyfriend he had told her that he never loved her, that it was all a game (a bet) he made with his friends.
I was speechless for awhile, they have been dating for a year now, and it was all a lie.
