Hi! Last year I visited the Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. It was Nilgiri Bandarban a pleasing and beautiful place of tourism. We start from Dhaka to Bandarban by bus. It was a great long drive.
Our bus ran through the village areas out side Dhaka. There are a lot of grain fields both sides of the road. It gives various colorful charming scenery. When we reached Bandarban we saw many hill tracks. It was a fascinating moment.
First time I enjoyed such a beautiful scenery. We hired a special car for climbing upon the hill Nilgiri called 'Chander Gari'. Its an open jeep whose wheels are made specially for climbing hilly tracks. When we were going to the top of NilGiri it was like a dream. There were many small and large hills surrounding us. Generally it is popular for enjoying the clouds from closer view. But on that time we missed the fascinating scenery of clouds.
After a long journey of two hours we reached at the top of the hill NilGiri. There we saw a different view of hills. There were some small Cottage shop where various types of clothes made by tribals are sold. There were also some hand made arts in the shop.
The area is completely protected by the Border guard Bangladesh. So the area is safe for tourists. We took many photos. There I bought some hand made crafts. I enjoyed the journey very much. It gave a significant pleasure.
