Hello Friends! Hope you are all good. We all want to lead a secure life. From our childhood to death everybody wants to minimum level of security to protect themselves from any harmful activities. Government also takes some steps to protect its citizens. Law and Enforcement is one kind of protection for civilians. Cyber Security is is also very important.
I think it is not necessary to let the government have unfettered access to civilians lives and data for security. Government has many ways to protect its citizens. Government can strengthen its law and enforcement team to ensure safety of the people. If we let government to interfere in all of our personal works it will not bring any good result. So it wouldn’t be okey for everyone to give up their right to privacy. We met with many people everyday. We talk with them about many topics. Some topics are confidential. We converse with many people of different sectors. All topics are not same also. Each topic has its own importance. Some topics shouldn’t be shared with other even with family members. If we give access to monitor all of our day-to-day lifes works to the government they can know our many personal information.
People often talk with their personal romantic gossip with their life partner. It is not okay that the conversation would be listened to by third persons. It is not sure that the government can always be strict to protect the privacy of their data. There is a little bit possibility that anyone might leak the personal information of the citizens. It is also very wierd that some one always monitoring that what I eat or what I discuss with in my most quiet places. If government want to ensure the protection of its citizens it is not necessary to apply invasive surveillance. Rather it can setup check post in some important points. If they find any suspicious person they will investigate him. There are a lot of fraud people specially in the cities. They snached away peoples bag, mobile phone, ornaments etc. Specially those who sit beside the window of bus this snatchers target them and snatch their valuable things. I think this is more important to give protection to the citizens than that of invasive surveillance. If anyone lost his mobile phone he lost his important data also. If it is easy to unlock his mobile phone his secret data will handover to others. So privacy is broken here.
Few months ago I went to my house by a bus. An unknown person just put out his mobile and a snatcher quickly snatched his mobile in the twinkling of an eye. I looked outside and saw that the snatcher was running with a fast speed. The victim was astonished and didn’t understand that what to do. I quickly left my seat to make room for him thats why he should run to catch the snatcher. But I noticed that he was at a loss. So I think it is more important to ensure peoples free moving without fear of illegal activists. Government also can set up cctv camera in all places. It will help to identify the criminals quickly. Government should ensure the cyber security of his country specially in intelligence office and banks. So that the secret information of the country and the public money remain safe.
I think privacy is a second life. One who has no privacy has no value in the society. So government shouldn’t intervene in public privacy in the name of providing security.
