Hi friends! Earning a good amount of money is a big challenge to wage earners. In my country there are various types of wage earners. Their earning are not the same. The minimum wage for a day laborer is approximately 800 taka per day.
The garments worker earns minimum 12,000 taka monthly basis on average. Other private jobs minimum wage with educational qualification is 12,000 taka approximately. In government jobs it is around 15,000 taka approximately. The price rates of essential products of our day to day life is increasing. So the minimum wage earners life goes with scarcity. They can't afford their families basic needs properly. Due to house rent they can't save money. Most of them live from hand to mouth. Now in our country most govt job holder suffer a lot for little earning. Most of them doing jobs far from their original residence. So a handsome amount costs for their journey for meeting with their family. Most wage earners earn the a less amount than they need. It is too hard to manage a family with 20,000 taka including the cost of house rent, electricity, water and gas. So they can't admit their children in a good educational institution.
I think if my wage become double I will pass my day comfortably with my family. I live far from my family. As I can't afford the house rent so I live in a mess while my family lives in our house in Dhaka city. If my wage tripled I will start saving money. I will open a fixed deposit and after a long time I will build a nice house in my land where my family lives now. I think the minimum wage should be 50,000 taka if I consider myself as a rich. Below this amount ir is hard to become rich in our country. Every year the value of money is decreased due to inflation. So I will invest some money in business. So my money will remain safe. It helps me to become rich also.
In the third world it is too hard to survive with family with a little wage. A lot of little wage earners get loan for maintaining their family. But they fall in trap to pay interest. Often their interest become higher than the capital. It is a pity that many of them commit suicide when they can't pay the loan for the pressure of interest. If I become rich I must try to help them by giving micro credit without any interest to do business. Rather I will also be a partner of their business and share the profit rationally between us.
I think who has wealth only is not rich. A true rich man has lot of wealth and has a broad mind also to help the poor and the helpless. So if I want to be such a rich man with big heart I should become wealthy also.There is a large portion of poor who are begging from door to door. There lives are more challenging than those of wage earners. Most of them have no family or children. Sometimes some people cannot afford their parents need. They push their old parents on the road to beg. I can help those old helpless persons as I can. So I want to be rich not only for my wellbeing but also for the welfare of the society.
