Greetings!
One thing I have noticed in Life is that, we all have our pasts which atimes happened to us when we are ignorant of things around us. This past of ours atimes if care is not properly taken can hurt us, but notwithstanding, if it our past happened when we are a child, then we have no need to pay for it later in life as all that happened must have happened in ignorance.
Having said so much about this, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “juvenille crime. “
As for me, minor crime shouldn't be counted against them as I have earlier stated and this is because of most of them not in the knowledge of what they were doing.
One thing as an adult is that it's even difficult for us to remember most of the deeds or acts that were performed by us when we were younger or as a child.
So, if one was not in the knowledge of hus or her activities, why should such a person be punished for such an offence. It's only the offence committed by us when we have the full knowledge of such offence that we should be punished for.
Like someone told that mad people don't het punished for any offence they committed due to the fact that they have no knowledge or were not conscious of the crime they have committed.
Although, there might be trauma or hazards being done by a child or a juvenile as an offender, but such offenses to me should not lead a child or juvenile to trials.
However, if a person who is of age did anything that's contrary to the law of the land, then such a person should be punished under the law accordingly and this is because such a person must have known and be able to differentiate the right from the wrong.
So, in my own opinion and understanding, a child or a juvenile who cannot differentiate the right from the left should not be treated as an offender as this would surely affect the psychological aspect of such a juvenile life.
Although, we now have some young people doing so things that are very bad in recent times such as killings, fraud and the likes. For such younger people, I am of the opinion that they should be punished under the law of the land accordingly as I strongly believe they are in the knowledge of what they are doing and if they are nit curbed or put to check now, then the society might be in danger as we have now which may make everyone to be unsafe.
In conclusion, this is a two things, if the juvenile is in the knowledge of what he or she is doing, they such a juvenile needed to be punished, but if not, they should be exempted from being punished under the law of the land.
