Since I was little around the age of 4, my family always had pet dogs who became part of our lives.
Dogs are very loving and faithful too. Your dog doesn't mind if you're good or evil, it will still be fond of you however and will stick with you till it dies.... a characteristic a number of human beings don't even have. π
My Little Family Pet History
First, we had a male German Shepherd which my Dad trained till he became so fierce that no one could come visit us without calling first if not, the person would be in for a giant dog surprise. We loved Scooby (as my Dad called him.) because he was playful and was our security watch dog but later, he was poisoned and died.
The next was another female German Shepherd named Nala... funny right? You may be thinking we love the animation "The Lion King" Yes π₯°π₯°
It inspired us in naming our dogs.
Nala was such a sweet dog, she gave us 5 cute puppies of which we gave out 4 but kept one with us- Tigress till both mother and puppy died too. π’
Now, Cyclone
Presently, we have a female German Shepherd at home named Cyclone πππππ
Yeah I know, that was the same reaction I had when I heard my Dad named her that.
This particular dog is the very best. This year October will make her 2 years old and all the rats in the compound are already warning their fellow rats not to come close to our house or else, they will risk losing their lives to Cyclone. She won't spare them till they are dead and she will drop her trophy- the dead rat, right in front of our door so we would all see it and give her extra bones in her food as appreciation.. Smart right? π
Though Scooby did the same but hers is worse or should I say, better?π€
We recently mated her with a male German Shepherd and we're expecting some cute little puppies running around the house in few months time of which I will take 2 for myself ππ as the most caring owner.π
Even when pregnant, she is still so fierce that we had to use a rope to tie her down in her kernel. Nobody passes by without her permission, nobody talks in the compound over our fence without her permission, she's a territorial dog and our raging tornado at that.
She's our watch dog and always looks out for us but due to her fierceness.. as her name impliesπ we keep her chained in her kernel till 11pm and put her back by 6am till she gets to be comfortable with our new neighbours.
Can't wait for her delivery time... I'll sure write about that too in a future post.
Till we meet again....
