We're in the time of the world that's dog eat dog everywhere. People are placed under a lot of pressure in order to gain validations from their family, peers and society but admist these, what defines you as a person of character is when you are able to face all of these uncompromisingly and stand.
There are some things that not even a loaded gun pointed to my head could make me do..(not that a loaded gun can hurt me..for those who know π)A few of them are:
Deny My Faith in Jesus Christ
I am not and never will be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my identity in Him. This is literally my life. Though we're in the last days where the love of many have waxed cold but despite these, my love for Jesus burns more and more. I've burnt my bridges and there's no going back for me. I have been set on a course that I must follow. Christ is my life and stay.
Clubbing
I've always wondered at the joy that people derive from going to an overcrowded place that stinks with several cigarette smokes and alcohol, damce or hook up with complete strangers while drinking & smoking.
I literally detest this. For me, it deviates from my personal values and goes below my standards. There are other gainful things I can do for fun and enjoyment other than this.
Theft
Growing up in an African home and society that frowns at this and being reminded of the heavy punishment I received whenever my Mum found an unfamiliar pen or pencil in my school bag was enough warning for me for the rest of my life to desist from taking other people's property.
It's great to set boundaries and principles for yourself that shows you're a person of integrity and value. These and more are my never do's and will keep at it forever.
Till next time...πͺβ£
