A number nature's wonders and wildlife reserves abound in Nigeria. It's a marvelous country with diverse culture and cultural heritages stunning mountains, including lovely cities and a lot of other great things to offer.
Our sweet passion and love for festivity will inspire you (I assure you of that 😉).
Therefore, these make country Nigeria a phenomenal tourist attraction and I'd say that it is a place one must visit during his lifetime.
There are several special places and cities in Nigeria that'll thrill people regardless of their hobbies.
As time and the focus of this prompt permits, I'll utilize this chance to talk about some of them.
Port Harcourt Mall
Also called "Spar". Oww how I love visiting here. I ways feel like I'm in a very different world anytime I'm here. I would say that it's a tourist centre because of the huge population of people from around the city and outside that visit there daily to watch movies, shop and have fun.
During my birthday last year, was when I really took a tour around this beauty. It had several brands, household items shops, boutiques, eateries, relaxation centres and more.
There was one very exceptional eatery I entered with a dear friend, that made me forget I was still in Nigeria and I passed my 9pm curfew my parents set for me.
It's really a safe and amazing place to visit.
Bonny Island, Rivers State
This is known as the true Island of my state - Rivers State.
Those who live here always brag about the place and I'd be like "Well my Port Harcourt is also a fine place, why all the hype?" not until I saw it myself.. I was blown away.
This island is located near the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of Nigeria's most prominent local communities. It has thriving and rich cultural system and legacy.
What's more? This great island has the largest beach festival in the Niger Delta for those of you that like beach festivals unlike me.
Amazing right?
- During festive periods like Christmas and Easter, the elegant beaches that encircle Bonny Island draw both tourists and residents looking for a good time. Also at these periods, thousands of people flock to the Finima beaches for beach carnivals every year, majorly on Boxing day and New year's eve.
I won't forget the day that my Dad took my elder sister for a trip to this beautiful island instead of me and promised to take me along with him when he goes again... I'm still patiently waiting for that 😌
Port Harcourt Golf Club, River State
Port Harcourt, my sweet garden city and also my home is home to a number of intriguing tourist centres. One of which is the Port Harcourt Golf course. (This is about 30 minutes drive from my house 😉)
With a lush golf course that is meticulously groomed and well-kept , a verdant golf course, it has an elegantly built clubhouse with a lounge for members, a golf shop with everything a golfer needs, and a bar where members may relax and enjoy the evening Port Harcourt sweet breeze after a long game. This makes it both a tourist attraction for athletes and a venue for business and social interactions.
And there's more ...
- It organizes a number of high profile local and international golf competitions. These draw large crowds from within the garden city and outside and are attended by dignitaries (like me lol) from all walks of life.
I encourage you to have a tour on these great places. It's really comforting to know that admist the crises that go on in our world, there are serene places one can resort to away from the hustle and bustle of life to refresh the soul.
Also, I want to use the opportunity to invite my friends to the contest.
