Life is not easy and no matter how rich of influential a person is, there will comes a time that something that can cause a person to be stressed will come to you without asking your consent. Some signs of stress includes being irritable, tired, have hard to focus on a task or unable to sleep but it can also result to conflict on people around you or can lead to a mental health crisis if not taken care of so it is necessary for us to managed our stress and keep them under control. On this post, I will tell the current source of my stress and the measures I take to keep them under control.
My Source of Stress
Money is an obvious matter of concern for many people including me and with the increasing food prices and cost of living due to inflation, wherever I see the amount of money that is left with my salary after everything was deducted, I always feel anxious given that I have spent my entire day working 6 times a week and no matter what industry you are in, its not as if you will get a salary increase to keep up with inflation.

Speaking of Work, I would not say, I would not say that my line of work was the toughest ones. After all, we have jobs that used physical labor such as construction or farming and it's not as if I am in the service industry that would need to served customers including the entitled ones like those that you can see on Karenicity Videos online. But in my work aside from fixing and deploying computers and networks, there were times that I would also need to remotely instruct other employees how to use a new application or a new device. Since each people have different learning capability, there were times that I would take a lot of time to teach that person and the longer that it takes, stress keeps filling up and I can't really lash out because that could get me fired so I would always need to keep a calm demeanor and stay professional.
After a long day of work, I would need to Travel back to home which usually takes around 11/2 hour of commute including the waiting time for the bus but since the start or rainy season, travel could take up to 31/2 hour due to some routes being flooded which causes heavy traffic due to cars driving slow or even stopped moving in the middle of the road which really makes me stressed because that would be another 11/2 hour I could spend for something else and sometimes even resulted me in skipping on making blog , adding to the fact that it was around dinner time so I would already feel my stomach grumbling.

Keeping Stress Under Control
Despite the knowledge of the things that causes me to be stressed, I cannot really do anything to prevent them from happening. All I can do is to have a sound mind to keep them under control which I can do with the help of the following:
Exercise - As you know, I also spent some time going to gym which not only helps to keep my body healthy but also helps me to have some anger control. Just imagine me have those distorted expression every time I lift heavy weights 😂 plus keeping on exercise improves perseverance and self discipline so I can keep a cool mind on stressful situations. It also helps me to sleep faster.
Having a good rest - In order to think properly, I at least keep a 7 hour of sleep everyday as well as to give time for my body to take a rest after a long time of work. This also helps me to temporary forget those stressful things for a while.
Pets - On our house, we have 3 dogs and a cat and whenever, I got home after work, they would be the first one to feel my presence and would enthusiastically greet me, trying to stand and even jump on me. It's also relaxing to do head pats to them and I have a spare time during weekends, I would take them into a morning walk.
Listening to Music and Watching Video - As I know that I would be stuck on a long traffic, instead of being stressed about it, I would just spend my time on either listening to music or watching videos which I'm supposed to watched at home. Not only it gets me entertained, it made use of the time that was supposed to be wasted and music has always been able to relieved stress.
Talking with family and friends - The pets might have been the first to greet me but when it comes to whom I can talk to about my anxieties, I always go with family and friends. They provide a listening ear about my complains as well as give advice to make me feel better.
Saving money and thinking of ways how to earn - As I know that my salary would not be able to keep up with inflation, whatever what's money that was left to me, I always try to save some into the back which gives me a sense of security just in case there was an emergency or an accident. Aside from that, I look for potential ways to earn money outside my work by which I discovered the world of Cryptocurrency and Hive which allows me to earn by creating content while also getting to know other people and knowing their stories.
No matter how hard to avoid it, stress will always be a part of our life so instead of making it for another big deal, we should think of ways to at least minimize them and I hope that you can get an idea to manage your stress with the with the things I did to managed mine.
