Hello Hive Learners and Friends!
Again and again, I want to share with friends all over the world about photography around my environment in Indonesia. I hope my friends are not bored with me and my posts. __
-- Without you, all this would be meaningless.
I think we are all familiar with flowers that are synonymous with bright and contrasting colors. The flower which has the Latin name Tegetes erecta or often called this marigold flower, but in some areas in Indonesia, including where I live, this flower has a very strange name, namely chicken dung flower. You could say, maybe because it smells bad, hehe. Yes you're right! :))
Then the question arises, why is this flower so easy to find or so like to be planted by many people, whether it's a fan of ornamental plants or not a fan of ornamental plants? To answer this question, there are several factors in my opinion, such as in terms of its very easy growth, unlike other ornamental plants. However, marigolds also have drawbacks. You need to be a little careful when watering it never water it from above the petals because in conditions that are too wet, the marigolds will be damaged and the petals will most likely rot and also rot the roots.
Then to answer the question above also that marigold flowers are very beautiful with contrasting shapes and colors so people like to plant marigolds as ornamental plants. However, there are also people who grow marigold flowers for other purposes, such as herbal medicines which are famous for their efficacy because they can treat several diseases that are often experienced by the community in the prevention stage.
Here are some pictures of the uniqueness and beauty of marigold flowers that I took around my neighborhood.
