Introduction
Hey everybody, it's been a while since I've done a hive learners topic. I found some of the previous topics a bit hard for me to reach 500 words so I didn't really write about them but I still gave my support on some of the posts in the hive learners community. I recently applied and received the hive learners badge and if you're a community member too don't forget to get yours! You can get it from the hive learners discord. Anyways, today I will be discussing about my thoughts on equality!
Do I Think Everybody Is Created Equal?
I honestly don't think everyone is created equal and here's why. First of all, some people are born normal with all their body parts functioning and some are unlucky they are maybe missing a part of a their body, born sharing a body, born with a weak heart etc. Fortunately for me, I had no problems. I was born healthy with no illnesses etc. I don't even have any allergies as far as I know. I can't imagine others that are born with a weak heart or something and not being able to play sports or try different things in life.
Secondly, this is the hard truth some people are born into poverty and some are born into a well off family. For me, I was born in a better than average family in terms of income. I was able to have opportunities to try many things thanks to my mom. I was able to try all kinds of sports. I had the comfort of a home to come back to everyday and food on the table to eat everyday. Some kids were born into a family that couldn't provide these things to them and even worse some can't provide the basic needs from Maslows Hierarchy of needs which according to him was our psychological needs which included breathing, food, water, shelter, clothing and sleep.

What Can Be Done To Make The World More Equal?
I think what can make the world more equal is giving everyone the equal opportunity to things. For example, if you're looking for a job, you shouldn't be rejected just because of your race, religion or ethnicity. In my opinion, as long as you meet the qualifications, you should have a chance at the job. In a matter of fact, America and some other countries have laws regarding this and its called the equal employment opportunity that helps protect people from this type of discrimination. However, there are some countries that don't practice this. I also feel education should be accessible to everybody even those that are super poor. There are some countries where the child can't even get a basic education but there are some NGO's that are trying to help with this.
I even know a friend who is a founder of an e-learning platform called Reskills that is trying to make education affordable for everybody. He is also doing charity with his Global Reskilling Movement. This isn't sponsored and I just wanted to share it. It's a subscription based learning and all you have to do is pay $1 a month! Some of the classes also come with a certification so I think it's awesome that they are doing this. You can check out his website here https://reskills.com/. Then this is a link to one of their charity movements which is giving quality education to those that need it https://grm.today/.
Conclusion
If it wasn't obvious, I don't believe everyone was created equal but I don't think that's a bad thing. Just some people have a head start or advantage and some are handicapped. I still believe through hardwork and being ambitious anybody can do anything they want to do as long as they put the effort into it. Furthermore, it makes everyone unique and they still find ways to do things like the one guy that can swim with no hands or feet. There's also stories of people who went from being dirt poor to being well off. I don't think we take notice of these stories. Usually people nowadays will take more notice on the bad news and spread negativity. Anyways that's all for me this week I hope I gave some useful input on equality.
