It's good to have good people around oneself, good friends will help you to rise to the top while the bad ones will help you get down from the top, just choose your circle wisely.
Few years back, I use to hate doing or joining a co-operative group. Okay let me explain a little, a co-operative group is a group that's made of group of people whereby as long as you're a member that's always been consistent with your monthly contribution, you can apply for a loan and starts paying gradually with little interest compared to banks. So I use to be a member of a thrift group, we just contribute money and at a certain period of time, we get to take the total amount of money we've contributed. This has been what I was doing initially, so it got to a point where my sister told me about a cooperative society she belongs, and explained the different kinds of benefits one could enjoy by being a member.
I had a project I wanted to do and obviously the money I was contributing in the thrift can't be enough, I need something bigger. But then I also do not like borrowing money, because I'm always scared that I might not be able to pay back and thereby leading to embarrassment and disgrace. Nevertheless I also got to understand that if you really want to do big things, sometimes you need to take a loan or borrow money from friends as the case may be. Looking at the lives of the so called big and successful business men and women, most of these people took loans before they get to where they are today, and some are still on it as we speak. Taking loans is not a problem if it's for a good reason. Someone can take a loan to support his or her business, or even for your education etc the most important thing is having a means of paying back the money.
So after my sister's advice about the cooperative thing, I decided to give it a trial, at first I don't even understand what we were doing in the meeting, I just know I'm contributing money and I'll apply for a loan when I need money lols.
Believe me I'm not regretting I listened and followed her advice, I joined two years ago, and I've collected a loan, it was not as stressful as when you want to collect a loan from a bank, banks will nearly ask for ones entire life certificate lols before you get a loan from them but in this cooperative society, all you need are guarantors (members of that same group) who can stand for you. The most important part or the most sweetest part of the loan was that the interest is just a little, something I can close my eyes and pay lols.
Sometimes we need someone to enlighten us about some certain things, no one is an island of knowledge, we learn everyday, so imagine I didn't have my sister to tell me the benefits of joining a cooperative society, I would still be finding it difficult to execute some big project like the one I did the last time.
And of course my sister and I are still in good terms and will continue to be, Infact maybe I'll make her my chief adviser lols.
A man that's not informed might be deformed so if you're avoiding deformation embrace good information.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY.
