I got to know that crypto currency was banned in my country when I wanted to learn how to use binance a year ago. It was more like a surprise for me hearing it, but yet gambling is legalized in my country, just that there's age restriction.
If I have the power I'll lift the ban on crypto as soon as possible, I might not ban gambling though because it's a game of luck, and it's your choice as long as you're an adult, no one force you to play, you think you're capable then you stake your money, it's either you win or lose.
Crypto has helped a lot of us, myself in particular, only God knows what would have been become of me without crypto, hive especially. Lifting the ban on it will not take time at all before I do it, maybe some other people also wants to dive into it but are scared due to the ban, I'll help them by lifting the ban.
Though it also has its negative effect too because some people has lost huge amount of money due to some dip, but I'll say that's how business is wired, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, even life itself is a risk.
Now talking about what I will ban if I have the authority is the exportation of crude oil for refining. This is one of the things that's causing havoc and damage in our economy till date. We all know that the price of fuel determine a lot of things in Nigeria. If you go to the market to buy a commodity, you'll hear the sellers complaining about increased fuel price, some will even complain about the increase in dollar, only God knoes how that affect some of them in anyway. Presently a little of fuel is 617 naira, this has made things became very costly that it's making life so hard for a average Nigerian.
If we can have our own working refinery here in Nigeria, a government owned refinery not a private one, because I think a private owned refinery might not have a significant change in the price of fuel like a government owned refinery. Already we have refineries in Nigeria just that they've closed operation, those refineries could be renovated and also build other ones if the four refineries on ground aren't enough. Just that some of our leaders are very greedy, they know how to make this things work but for their selfish interest, they decide to suffer the masses.
It saddens my heart because my country had to carry its crude oil from here over to a foreign country for refining, we sell it to them, they refine it and then sell it back to us at a very high price, what a shame. It's not that we don't have the money to rebuild these refineries or make them work again but greedy people that are benefiting from this long process wants it to continue this way, they don't care as far as they are fine, what happens to the masses are none of their concern.
Bringing our refineries back to life will also create job opportunities for a lot of people, their are so many people out there that are unemployed and so with this, crime rate will be reduced drastically because some idle hands will now be on deck.
