As a citizen of this country (Nigeria) it's obvious that alot of things are not going on the way they should, the government depriving the citizens of their rights, even though Nigeria is so much blessed with many natural resources yet we're suffering as one who don't have any.
As for our politicians, it's so obvious that most of them are deceiving us, they are only going into that office for their own selfish interest, they make promises they can't fulfill. It's only when they need our votes that they will suddenly become so humble and try to do anything just to please us for that moment, but after the election they go back to their selfish way of life.
I would have loved to talk about many things the government has failed to spend which they ought to but for the sake of this contest, I will be sharing just one which is the aspect of Education. It's a pity how many youths now thinks and believe education is a scam. It's not their fault anyways if not what they see as the end result of many graduate, Nigeria is an undeveloped country so I understand that not all graduates would secure employment due to its growing stage but still the rate of unemployment is just too much.
With a very good standard of education, am sure the country will be a better place. Having a lot of illiterate around would make things worse.
The environment used for learning is very important and has a lot to do about the learning process. Most government owned primary and secondary schools are just too bad, parents should be happy to put their children in these schools but it's the other way round, people now prefer private schools to a public because the difference is just crystal clear.
The money that should be used to be build convenient classroom and provide the necessary facilities like a fully equipped laboratories are being embezzled by some selfish individuals that has sometimes promised us a better education.
It saddens my heart when I heard about the naira redesign, I didn't like the concept from the onset, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the old notes, but suddenly the government thought of how they could inflict suffering on the citizens and brought this up, because to me it was nothing but a waste of money and it's not necessary at all.
Left to me, I would say that the cashless policy was not helpful one bit but causes more harm that good.
The suffering was just too much. Thank God things are getting better now but then the POS agent were charging exorbitant prices, using 200 naira to collect 1000 thousand naira, a thousand naira for five thousand naira.
I learnt of the billions of dollars that was used to print the new notes, that money could have been channeled to something else like the ASUU issue, a lot of things would have been fixed if these money is being used in the right way.
It's so funny how the government just came back to declare that we can now start spending the old notes together with the new one till December. After all the pains the citizens have being through because of the note change.
We just hope our dear country will be a better place very soon.
Thanks for stopping by.
