Every blogger will indeed have a story to tell especially about their start, I think almost everyone on the chain had one or two difficulties at the beginning and those that are still thriving were able to stand the test of time, kudos to everyone who endured.
Moreover even in life in general you can't be having a good day everyday, it's not a curse but it's nature, sometimes will be good while sometimes it's the opposite, you just have to stand your ground and continue striving cus there are better days ahead, just as the saying; there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Personally have learnt so many things on hive which also applies to my daily life outside the chain such as; Consistency, patience, perseverance, Hardwork, working smart, diligence, determination, setting a target/goal. etc...
Among all this lessons I'll say perseverance is the greatest for me. And I'll define it by saying it's the act of continuing in a course of action without regard to discouragement, opposition or previous failure.
This definition says it all about how I began and how I was able to stand firm till now.
During my early days on hive, I found almost everything very strange; the site, blogging, the process of earning, what we earn, etc. I don't even know I can stay till this present time because firstly, I don't really love writing, though I can write but I have zero interest or passion for writing, if anyone should tell me I'll be a blogger today, I'll take the person for a chronic liar, but here I'm blogging and enjoying it like no other.
Yes I also said something about the process of earning on hive and the currency we earn, a year ago I was a complete novice of crypto currency, I only hear about Btc and Ethereum and I don't even know how it works, but with time I've learnt a lot about crypto and hive blockchain especially.
Talking about my early days in here... it was hell, very discouraging... my first post which was my introduction post, I managed and struggled to write less than 300 words, I don't even think it was up to 200 words. And then my reward was not also up to a dollar. That made me start thinking maybe this platform was not for me, but I press on to my second post, I don't think I got up to a dollar as my reward aswell.
This made me conclude totally that this thing is not my thing. So I have to quit but my mentor didn't give up on me, he sat me down and remind me again not to look at the reward for now but just keep developing myself and making a quality post, and soon things will change for good. I think I was motivated with his words so I came back after few weeks.
With time I found out that I don't only love writing, have also developed passion and interest in writing. Now if I don't write for two to three days, I'll know something is not right, lets say I'm now addicted. I was able to endure those hard times, those bad days, days of no motivation, no inspiration, low reward, no topic ideas etc. Though it's not an easy thing to overcome but I did.
Outside the blockchain, I see that this attribute of perseverance in me has helped greatly in achieving a lot of things too, I don't look at how people might be discouraging me or my oppositions neither my previous failures I only focus on where am headed, because I know for sure that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Once again thumbs up to everyone who endured.
