This is my entry to the Hive Learners weekly contest.
This is a good one. This social media that we see is an online platform in which people can stay in their comfort zone, type that in which they like, and put it there. There is not a place where messages or information are verified before they really can be published on social media. Instead, further investigations can now be made before those things are now removed or might be restricted from viewing or shut down. When one cooks a particular story, they can put it there on the platform online.
People can still be at their homes and deem it really fit to get their phone types in which they live and post online. Although there might be restrictions, before, one had already understood the fake information would have been a moving thing in which some people might really be working with it in one way or the very other. So what is what doing is really worth doing well in the way in which it is supposed? Information should really be very outsourced before using so that it would really be a good act for man and also for humanity by God's grace.
To me, social media should not be a reason for dismissing anything that has been verified. This social media to me sometimes is very, very funny in things in which I am doing as an individual. People do whatever they want even without verification. There is supposed to be a place where people can state that information in which they are giving out their sources, and it really should be verified to know if at all it is the truth, but still yet it is not done, and when it might be published online, whose fault is it,more especially if we try to work with it in what we are doing?
There is really a right to speech for us Nigerian citizens as one of the fundamental human rights. People should not be dismissed from airing their views about a particular thing. It is there, right? And they can use it in ways in which they want to by God's grace. As far as it is not to destroy the image of the company in a wrong way, still yet constructive criticism can be made for them to really take corrections in ways in which they are not trying to buckle up and start whatever in which they are not doing in a good way. A student can raise alarm about actions of a school that are not good or an employer about the company it now left for them to make a turn from that bad one and turn to the good ones greatly for the betterment of everyone by God's grace.
We really have our own * views* in different ways, and I don't think it should be an issue to talk about the way we feel about something.
We keep hoping for the best.
