This is my entry to week 11 edition 3 contest
Obinna was a victim of bullying from his classmates. The big boys in the class saw his small stature and took advantages of it.They always find a way to taunt him in the classroom. They would gather during break time and give him unnecessarily punishments to run errands for them forcefully. Going to school became a problem for him his parents noticed his great drop in school. They reported it to the school authority and with there help the bad experience stopped.
Bullying is a bad vice among individuals. It's an act of intimidating a weaker person to do something especially repeatedly.It also persistent acts intended to make life unpleasant for another person.
My thoughts on bullying
Bullying involves imbalance of power. I think people who are bullies tends to use there power to suppress that as advantages to mistreat others which is very bad .
How can it be eradicated
Everything problems has a solution and I think bullying is not exempted it can be eradicated in the following ways.
Reporting to the appropriate authorities
Like how Obinna's parents took the issues to the school authority people should always report cases of bullying to parents,guardians, caregivers, teachers, admins and other people in higher position and power to the bullier.
Teaching kindness and empathy to people people should be taught in churches, schools, neighbourhood kind gestures towards one another. They should be made to understand that Love should prevail everywhere they are and in all things they are doing.They should make to understand to always stand up for others, hurting others won't solve there problems and putting people down won't ever bring you up to there position.
Clear Definition of Terms some people do bully people thinking it's there own right or not seeing any wrong in what they are doing. So kids should be helped with what it is and advised how to stand up when being a victim. They should be advised to speak up when they can't handle it just like obinna.
Creat Rules and Regulations: Bodies should be created to set Rules and Regulations guilding bullying and punishments to offenders.
Bullying is very bad and should people should be cautions against it.
