Last week, I spent it looking for a place to move to since where I stay is kind of a little far from school and I've been facing serious issues with the light in my apartment. I really wanted to move away from the Estate I am presently but as I look for apartments at other Estates, it is either they are farther away with great distance from my School, or they are way too expensive for the price of the apartment.
I plan to stay alone so that I will not be distracted by people around me and will also be able to think straight and plan my life. So this means that I would not be sharing the house rent fee with anyone. So I was trying to be careful in getting a place that would be too expensive for me to pay for the coming years.
Unfortunately, my wish to move out of my estate was not granted, but instead, I am still in the estate I am in now, but this time, it is closer to school and has a lesser trekking distance to the junction. Just that I may be facing issues with light soon which I hope not but I have plans towards saving for a Solar Inverter that I would be using instead of relying on the Power Holding Company in Nigeria. Now the apartment I got was for $250 per year. This is quite cheap compared to other countries, but to me, it is a lot. The person who was staying in the place before is yet to move out, and there are some repairs that need to be done to the place before I can move in. As you can see below, this is the ceiling of the apartment.
It is quite easy to know that it was a girl who was living in this room before, and she is yet to pack out. Although it is getting quite annoying, when I paid for the apartment, I was told that the repairs would be done immediately and her load would be packed out. But it is been 5 days now and no changes had been made yet.
I transacted with the chief tenant of the house, but when I noticed he was taking things slow, I had to find the contact of the landlord, who had to plead with me that he would come and make sure everything was ready for me to move in.
If not for the fact that they have not done all the necessary repairs and the former tenant's load has not been taken, I would have moved in and arranged the place the way I want it. I had gotten myself a few things and placed them in the room. I would have also painted the room to my preferred color and feel.

Last week, I was able to buy this bed with the bed frame and table stool for $113. It wasn't new but was also used. I decided to get it because the price of a new one would cost me to spend almost double the price. Plus, they still look as neat as new, so I decided to take the opportunity.

I found this new table shelf on the internet which I saw for $155. I fell in love within that instant, and I wanted it. I liked it because I get to neatly arrange my books and also keep other books and novels I buy and plan to read.
I knew it would not be wise for me to order the table online, so I had to contact a carpenter and ask him if he could make this exact table for me. He said yes and charged me $47 for it, including delivery fees. I was very happy that I would not have to spend as much on this table.
I have paid the carpenter $25 as a deposit, which he requested, to let him know I am interested, and he has promised to deliver the table today.
As for this chair, I needed a more comfortable one since the one I am using is a plastic chair and would be too low in height for the table I am getting. This is why I decided to order this chair. I asked around, and I was told the price of this chair online is a good deal. I am paying $43 for this chair and an extra $3 to get it delivered to my doorstep, for a total of $50.

One of the things I was able to get was a tabletop fridge. To get the new one, it would cost me $128, but I got this for $93 since it is used and still in good condition. I tested it and figured it got chilled on time; it took about 10 to 15 minutes during the test.
I have already placed everything in the apartment I got; what is left for me is to arrange and set up the place. Hopefully, the landlord comes over today to get things done so that I can do all I want to do in time.
