Once a doctor told me that, Diabetes is often compared to termite infestation because it makes the body appear healthy on the outside, but it slowly weakens and paralyzes the organs on the inside. Diabetes is called as a "sugar disease" because it causes excessively high levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood. Uncontrolled sugar in the body damages the nerves, kidneys, eyes, and heart, just as termites do wood. I have seen pretty worst cases during my Dad's time and recently to an aunt, where both of them collapsed and loses all their senses due to sudden spike in their sugar level. Seeing the the bad effects of sugar, many people these days likes to avoid sugar intake and some try to raise voice for its regulation like in the case of alcohol.

Diabetes is a serious, chronic disease because uncontrolled high blood sugar causes severe, long-term damage to blood vessels and nerves throughout the body. A person suffers from diabetes when their body cannot properly produce or use insulin, leading to chronically high blood sugar. This results is damaging blood vessels, nerves, and organs. This condition causes symptoms like excessive thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, and blurry vision. Over time, it leads to serious complications such as heart disease, kidney damage, vision loss, and nerve damage. I have seen many complications in my Dad's cases and it really shook me. This has resulted in creating a awareness in me, how deadly it could be.
Blood sugar regulation is about creating steadiness for overall ease.
High sugar consumption is a significant concern for children and young adults, whose diets often include high levels of sugar sweetened beverages and food intake. People are now getting concerned about sugar regulation due to its direct links to chronic health conditions. Similar to alcohol, sugar is argued to be addictive, leading to excessive consumption. Some of the countries have already implemented taxes on sugary drinks, a full "alcohol-style" regulation remains a subject of intense debate among health professionals and policymakers. Unlike alcohol, which is not necessary for survival, glucose is used by every cell in the body, although the issue is primarily with added sugars rather than natural ones. In my opinion, regulation of sugar products is a highly effective tool for increasing public awareness about health, enabling better choices, and promoting a "reset" of dietary habits.
Managing blood sugar is about metabolic consistency, not just restriction.
At the same time, it is important that an individuals dividual should be mindful about their dietary habits. Rather than consuming everything unnecessary , a mindful approach is quite effective way. Regulating the sugar product is a check but a self awareness is much more effective. A healthy diet along with healthy habits combines with physical workouts is a key for a sustainable happy living. Monitoring food choices to manage sugar levels is part of a healthy lifestyle. Focus on balanced meals and consistency for health. Reduce sugar intake for more energy and a better feeling.
In good faith - Peace!!
