With the advent of artificial intelligence and the speed with which it became a global phenomenon, there's been a saying that artificial intelligence will soon take over everything and that it is coming for our jobs. I do think that people forget that artificial intelligence was created to make complex tasks easier and faster in the sense that a task that would normally take someone many hours or even days to complete, artificial intelligence does that in a matter of minutes and the number of minutes depends on how bulky the task is, because sometimes it only takes seconds to get what you want using an AI tool and the right prompt.

“AI is coming for our jobs!" Is so funny to me because it implies that artificial intelligence will one day suddenly become sentient and will want to take over the world and wipe out all of human civilization and we have those sci-fi movies to blame. Though there's an AI tool for many tasks out there in the world today, those tools are only there to help, aid and assist us and even more tools are being created every day to make life smarter and easier for everyone involved. There are many jobs out there that are successful today because of these AI tools and without these tools, they wouldn't go as far.
Basically, what AI has done is provide an easier way to do things. A long time ago, it was the work of one person to oversee the proper filing of paperwork and ensure that each document goes into the proper file for documentation and this was done by one person alone and by hand too. But with these modern tools and applications, it has made filing easy and even more secure because if something bad were to happen to the printed files, like a fire, copies could easily be made from the cloud storage and though there might be some damage done to the printed files, the most important documents would be intact and can always be retrieved.
”Is AI actually smarter than humans?”
I wouldn't agree because it is humans that created AI. And though not everyone is tech savvy, it doesn't mean that AI has more knowledge than the species that created it. What makes artificial intelligence seem so smart is the speed with which it solves complex tasks and problems which makes it seem like it has a vast amount of knowledge that humans do not possess, but humans do possess such vast knowledge because the knowledge that artificial intelligence knows was provided to it by humans, the knowledge that artificial intelligence has is programmed and so all its answers have already been pre-programmed by its programmers and we really should give kudos to the human brains behind the invention of any kind of artificial intelligence because it really takes a lot of thinking and solving to be able to create something as massive as artificial intelligence that does things so effectively and efficiently that people fear it might take over the world someday.
What we need to understand is that the human physical strength is limited and the invention of artificial intelligence came about as a result of necessity, it was necessary for people to be able to complete tasks in record time so that they have time to do other things rather than fixate on one thing for days on end and that is why artificial intelligence is programmed to work faster than the normal human being, also the answers and results being given have also been pre-programmed which also helps to only make it faster. It makes research faster, it does tasks faster, it helps one to work smarter among other things.
So, the ability to solve complex problems faster doesn't automatically put artificial intelligence as superior to the ones that actually created it, it only serves to show exactly how brilliant the human mind is and how far the human mind is willing to go in search for more knowledge.
