We grew up with the note not to talk with people we do not know, especially those our parents don’t know at all because they are seen as strangers. Strangers are bad people my mother will say.
But growing up I came to found out that strangers as we call them are in different categories. Those who have ulterior motives and those who are angels 😇, sent on our way for a special mission. These are angels in human skin, but they are exceptionally kind hearted and born different.
These are strangers you have never met before, but there is always something different in them once you have an encounter with them. And this will always prove to us that there are angels on earth 🌍 because I have experienced many of these kind of people in different occasions who truly touched my life and left me pondering how life brings miracles our way.
I encountered an angelic women about five (5) years ago in one of the Estates located here in Lagos. A cousin of mine who was living in a boys quarter in the Estate then was transferred out of Lagos for job and needed me to move his belongings after about a month he left Lagos. And not knowing that painted buses 🚌 are not allowed into the Estate, I made an arrangement with a bus driver who will help me pack these properties immediately he closes the day’s work. And this driver insisted I must pay deposit for commitment, which I did.
And at about 5;00pm I was at the Estate gate waiting when the driver arrived. And behold, the security men told me that they will not allow us to enter because it the law of the Estate. I however was pleading with this men because I can not start looking for another vehicle since it was getting late. And suddenly I saw this “Tundra” kind of Jeep vehicle with open back that pulled just by the security gate . A woman came out from the back of the vehicle and started asking me what the problem is. I quickly narrated the story to her. All she just told me was that I should not worry. I should give her just 10 minutes and that her driver will come back to help me to go and move all the properties from where I wants to carry them to the gate so that the driver I have hired will pact them into his own vehicle.
I was totally dumbfounded and immediately started thanking the woman while she walked back into the vehicle. And in less than 10 minutes, her driver came back for me. And we want to pack my cousin’s loads for almost three times, going back and forth to the gate. And the driver left once we were done. This woman was totally God sent Angel 😇 stranger because I couldn’t comprehend what miracle that incident was. This is a woman who looks so sophisticated and rich but has the empathy to know what others are going through .
This incident made me realize that there are still so many good people on earth. And it also have helped me feel the need to keep helping others I cross path with in any area and capacity I could . And apart from this very incident, I have severally encountered many other strangers helping me out. This means that there are still good people around us who appears and disappears because they have solved the problem they came for. A lesson to help us know that we should not ignore all strangers.
