Happy Sunday, everyone! :)
My afternoon class was cancelled today because our internet was acting up, and my student wasn't feeling well. So, I decided to paint something today. :)
Recently, I have enjoyed listening to calming music while doing something. There are a bunch of interesting BGM on YouTube, and I mostly choose videos with beautiful views in 4K. Last night, I watched one with starscapes and it was super relaxing.
So, my painting today is inspired by this video.
I have always been fascinated with stars. I enjoy watching the night sky a lot. Although it's quite bright in my area at night, I could still enjoy the lovely night sky from time to time, especially when I go to the beach. It's just so mystical and lovely!
I took this photo of the materials I used after painting, so they're quite messy. I apologize for that.
But yeah, I used poster paint and different detailer brushes on a 10 x 10 cm watercolor paper. I also used a black gel pen later on.
Now, allow me to show you some of the progress shots of the painting process, starting with preparing the paper by adding some masking tape around it.
It got too dry because my dog, Max, didn't want to take a nap and still wanted to play with me. I had to stop in the middle of painting... but it's ok. XD
Then, using a toothbrush, I sprinkled some white paint all over the artwork. I also added some small details, still using white poster paint, using a detailer brush. I added a group of stars together at the center. This represents a galaxy from far away! hahaha
Then, I tried writing my username on the lower right side using white ink, but it was a failure, so I covered it with white paint and wrote my username, the date today, and my signature using a black gel pen. lol I did this after taking out the masking tape around the painting, so here's the final look. :)
And yeah, that's it for this artwork. It's been a while since I painted a galaxy-themed artwork.
It's actually among the subjects that I enjoy painting the most. It's because I could just play around with a variety of colors.
Anyway, I took a selfie together with my tiny painting. It's my first time doing a galaxy-themed artwork this small. It was still fun, and of course, this tiny artwork I did today would be included on my art wall.
It's nice to see my art wall slowly filling up. I'll be painting more in the coming days, so please look forward to checking them out.
I'll end this post here. Thank you so much for dropping by. Feel free to tell me what you think about this artwork. See you around! (^^,)/
