The concept of digital money has been a billboard topic for many years and also more to come. It is a concept and a technology that will still undergo lots of upgrades and changes. And just like the prompt implies, crypto is definitely here to stay.
As they say, change is the only thing that is constant in this very universe of ours. And for every season, there are things that rules and others that get phased out if and only if they do not upgrade. This case could be likened to the entity of fiat money. The days of fiat money is numbered. I think I will explain more of the above in a latter post but let's stay put with our prompt here..
Week 06 - Edition 03 Topic
“THE FUTURE OF CRYPTO”
Cryptocurrency is definitely here to stay, it will take over the world some day and paper money might just be history. With such an evolution coming, what do you think should be done to make the Crypto world an easier and better one, so that everyone can benefit equally from it. Please share your honest thoughts, we might learn a thing.
As it is, crypto is still very much for the very few who have taken their time to painstakingly learn it to some core. It is more or less like it was made for the few. But you know what, it is still going to become a common thing that everyone will have at least an idea about, and not just an idea but in operation too. But one of the questions is – how long?
You know, with the way crypto is trying to penetrate spaces and internationally, it is being hindered by some countries. It is being rendered unrecognized as a legal tender in my country for example. For me, I still think it may be largely due to its decentralized nature which is opposed to the usual bureaucratic and centralized form of government that has been a norm in almost every institution, in which a nation also belongs to.
Now, what could make the crypto world an easier and better one… first, it must be allowed entrance and due recognition country-wise. This will at least enable the public to be able to access and engage in it fairly and without hiding from it. This is because, relatively speaking, in my country a ban is on crypto presently; he who indulges in anything concerning crypto even as little as having the word crypto in the nook of your bank statement renders it illegal and the bank account due to be frozen.
Technologically speaking, I know that the security in the blockchain will continually be upgraded and new technologies will be on the rise. But as at now, it is just advisable in terms of having a crypto wallet to write your passwords i.e keys, passphrases, etc. manually on hard copy. I believe anything hard copy is bound to be lost anytime soon, that is, its not reliable. Soon enough, I think if a platform is brought on such that we may not need to have our passwords written in hardcopy but in strong, reinforced security entities such as the Google Authenticator but for crypto.
Today, we know the acceptance rate by individuals is still very much small compared to the world population, this is why the knowledge is still in the hands of that very few. Setting up a basic and advanced crypto sensitization awareness program could be the gateway to increasing the number of users of the chain. And the pathway to bringing down the world of jargon which currently embodies crypto is by these programs when done efficaciously.
The drastic evolution of crypto is upon us, ours is to lay claim to the wide range of opportunities present in the chain and also streamline our activities to it such that it reaches the needed areas in crypto adoption.
