The year 2025 has been an eventful one for me, filled with plans, hopes, challenges, and important lessons. At the beginning of the year, I set out with several goals I was determined to achieve. I was full of motivation and confidence, believing that with discipline and hard work, everything would fall into place. However, as the year progressed, I realized that not all plans work out exactly as we imagine. Some goals were delayed, some were adjusted, and others had to be moved to the next year.
One major goal I set for myself was to post consistently on my business page in order to grow it. I understood that consistency is key to visibility, engagement, and growth, especially in today’s digital world. I envisioned my page growing steadily, my followers increasing, and my business reaching a wider audience. Unfortunately, I was unable to maintain that consistency for most of the year. As a result, my followers did not increase as expected and my page remained stagnant for a long time. This was discouraging at times, especially when I compared my progress with others who seemed to be doing better.
To support this goal, I also promised myself that I would read books on social media marketing and business growth. I knew that knowledge would equip me with better strategies and help me avoid mistakes. However, balancing school responsibilities with personal development proved to be more difficult than I anticipated. My schoolwork demanded so much time and attention that I barely had the energy or focus to read the books I had planned. Sadly, most of the books I promised myself I would read this year remained unopened for a long time.
Despite these challenges, I am proud to say that I did not completely give up. A few weeks ago, I made a conscious decision to start posting consistently again on my business page. This time, I approached it with more patience and realism. Even though the growth is still gradual, I am already seeing positive changes, better engagement, more visibility, and renewed motivation. This experience has taught me that progress, no matter how small, is still progress.
In terms of reading, I have also begun to take small steps. Instead of pressuring myself to read many books at once, I now read little by little whenever I can. This has made the process less overwhelming and more sustainable. Although I did not meet my reading goals within the year, I believe that continuing slowly is better than stopping completely.
Another goal I set for 2025 was to start a platform of my own. This was something I was truly passionate about, but due to time constraints and other responsibilities, I was unable to bring it to life. I have come to accept that this particular dream will have to wait until next year. By God’s grace, I believe I will be better prepared to pursue it in 2026.
2025 has taught me valuable lessons about patience, balance, and self-compassion. Not achieving all my goals does not mean I failed; it means I am still learning and growing. Some goals are already in progress, while others will be carried into the next year with greater wisdom and determination. I remain hopeful, confident that with consistency, faith, and perseverance, I will achieve them in due time.
