Many times, I have sat down and wondered why schools teach us so many theories but very little about how to survive and make money after graduation. We spend years learning subjects, passing exams, and getting certificates, yet when we step outside the school gate, real life feels very different from what we were taught.
Recently, I started hearing a lot about cryptocurrency and foreign exchange. I will be honest, I do not know too much about them. I only hear people talk about how they invest, how they trade, and how some of them make good money from it. Whether small or big, it is clear that these are part of the modern ways people are making money today. It made me begin to ask myself a simple question: if this is now a serious way people invest and earn, why are children not being taught about it in school?
I strongly believe that anything that will prepare children and the coming generation for life after school should be included in what they learn. School should not only be about reading textbooks and memorizing notes. It should also be about learning real-life skills that will help students stand on their own and become financially wise adults.
Many of the things most of us are doing today to survive were never taught in school. Some people are into online businesses, digital marketing, content creation, mini importation, trading, and many other hustles. We had to learn these things by ourselves, through friends, social media, or personal experience. Imagine how much easier life would have been if we had been introduced to such ideas while we were still students.
In the same way, I think cryptocurrency and foreign exchange should also be introduced to children in schools. I am not saying they should start trading with money as kids, but they should at least understand the basic ideas behind them. They should know what investment means, how digital money works, what risk is, and how to make careful financial decisions. This knowledge alone can open their minds and prepare them for the future.
If children are introduced to these concepts early enough, it can help raise a generation of people who are smarter with money. They will grow up knowing that money is not only earned by working for someone but can also be grown through wise investment. They will understand that every investment has risks and that they must learn to be patient, careful, and informed before putting their money anywhere.
Teaching this in schools can also reduce the number of people who fall into scams. Today, many people rush into cryptocurrency or forex without proper understanding because nobody taught them the right way. They just hear that others are making money and jump into it blindly. If proper education is given from a young age, children will grow up knowing how to identify what is real and what is fake.
Also, learning about cryptocurrency and foreign exchange can make students more interested in technology, finance, and the modern world. It will make education feel more relevant to the life they are going to live outside school. They will see the connection between what they learn in class and what happens in real life.
I believe that cryptocurrency and foreign exchange are important parts of modern investment. Even though I do not know too much about them, I know they are already shaping the way people make money today. For this reason, I support the idea that they should be taught in schools. If children learn about them early, it can help build a generation that makes better investment decisions, avoids scams, and is better prepared for life after school.
