A compliment is a kind comment made to someone to express that you like their appearance, value their qualities, or accept the things they have accomplished.
Yes we have all received compliments so many times and for different reasons, when I saw this topic, I had to crack my brain so much, so I think I am used to giving insight that involves my husband, but today it will be different, yes I do get compliments a lot from him, and on different occasions, which I always do appreciate him so, cause no matter how you look or what you do he is always there to dish out those compliments, even when I don't feel so good about myself in the aspect.
Moving on, there's this brother in our church, and he's married, I think his second name should have been a compliment because there is no time he sees you that he doesn't compliment you or two, I got to u understand that he does this with almost everyone, There was one Sunday I think it was during the Christmas celebration since we were in the choir we were asked to sew a white native, which everyone did, I and my sister go the same kind of material, so after our elder sister had finished her magic touch on it, it was then ready. On the day of the carol service, we got up early and dressed up I and Jessy didn't dress up cause there was no way to go on a bike in those dresses, so we wore different clothes, we put white native in separate bags and went to church, I am sure getting to church and not being dressed in the stated attire would have given some people thought that maybe we were not roping, but we had to shock them😁, we went into the church toilet and hurriedly put on our beautiful dresses, we had our, makeup on we only had to retouch. when we came out of this church brother was the first person to see us in our dress, cause he was also coming from the men's toilet, the way he looked at us, we knew he was going to say something, which he didn't disappoint, he said, immediately he said: "wow you guys look so good, who made this dress for you?" We immediately said it was our big sister, but he didn't stop his compliments on us alone he also completed the maker of the dress, if there was another name for him, it would be "kolacompliment" cause his name is kolawole, so I will remove the wole and add compliment to it.
The fact that he is a very nice person always makes this is compliments add more value to his personality. Even down to his family, he dishes out compliments to them, cause it's a natural thing to him. Not many people know how to give compliments, and not many people know the right way of dishing out compliments to people, some say in ways that the receiver would get angry at the words and not appreciate it.
So I implore you to always learn to appreciate people by complimenting them and also in the right way.
This post is a late responses for last week's hive learner contest. I had made this post on Saturday but didn't get the time to actually post it because I was busy through out in school. So it's better late than never.
