I learned that although our parents did a fantastic job of parenting us as children, "money" was the one thing that stood in the way of a very proper upbringing for us. When I was a child, I believed I would be a very successful lawyer after passing the bar exam and other stuff I daydreamed about, but none of this came to pass as my parents weren't able to achieve so much for us, They did their best, and I will give it to them. I have two kids of my own now, and I tried to reason how my parents were able to cope with us, I have three other sisters, meaning we are all girls, My parents really tried, there is no doubt here.

But there are things I wouldn't want to happen to my own kids as they happened to me.

STAYING AT A RELATIVE PLACE

I will never allow my child to stay with a relative, not out of pride, but because of the horrible things I had to experience at the hands of a relative, which has become part of an experience for me, but I will never allow this for my children. Regardless of what the situation may be for me and my husband, we can only have faith in God and hope that everything we need in taking care of this children will be provided by God because the experience I had with my relatives was neither joyful nor anything to be proud of.

HAVING THEM AS A FRIEND

I have seen some parents whose children hide a lot of things from them, it isn't a good thing actually, I wasn't always close to my own parent, but at a point in my life, I knew what having someone to confide in meant.
For I and my kids, I would like to be their best friend, because being their friend they will be able to tell me whatever goes wrong with them, or wherever they might be having difficulties
There are children out there who are struggling, and if they are not close to their parents, their parents may not be aware of what is happening. Nevertheless, if we raise kids in a way that makes their parents their best friends, there won't be anything they can't tell their parents about. Whatever the number of my children, this is one of the things I hope to accomplish with them.

As a kid, I had this habit of wanting to visit friends, and my mom wasn't always happy about it, As I got older, I realized what she was trying to prevent: "mingling with bad company." As a child, we didn't know our left from our right but always wanted to be like our friends whose parents were doing well, then we started comparing our parents with others.
This is something I would not want my children to do; I would not want them to mix with the wrong crowd because it could have a negative impact on them.

My prayer is that God grants me and my husband everything we might need to take care of our children, because there are a lot of things happening out there to children because of a lack of proper upbringing. May all parents and intending parents around the world be given the grace and capacity to give their children a proper upbringing.

My experience when I was younger taught me a lot of things, and I'm being careful as a parent now. It's a huge task, but with the proper resources, I'm confident I'll be able to do a good job.
