Bullying
”Have you ever been bullied before? It could be in school, on social media, or even in your neighborhood. Do you know someone that was bullied? What are your thoughts on it and how do you think such a thing can be eradicated?”
In high school I was the youngest in my class especially when we were at the last class to become under graduates, I ' be never been one who keeps friends from the onset, but I always thought to mix in with the crowd,(others).
I was always refers to as baby of the class, well it's because I was 3-5 years younger than those in my class, my classmates knew this because our class teacher then had all our birthdays in his attendant register, and we were all likely to see who is older than who whenever one of us was asked to go bring the register from the teachers office.
One mid term test period, the mathematics teacher gave of area of concentration, where gave us specifics topics to study, which we all did as a group in class, so the day of the mathematics test came, we all sat down to write the test, the test was tough even with the area of concentration the teacher gave us few days before, at a point the teacher saw most of us were not writing again and we're looking left and right, I guess he knew what he set for us was tricky, so at a point he left the class and asked us to be on our best behaviour until he came back,see us rushing ,we all stood up and gather around one table and the mathematicans amongst us started solving the questions we found difficult, It was at that moment I notice i had solved almost all my own questions and only needed assistance with only two while other still had a few more questions to solve and not that I didn't solve my remaining two question I wasn't so sure of the Answer , cause our maths teacher had a policy of always caning those who missed a question, and I didn't want that to happen, so the teacher made a loud noise before entering the class again, if he saw us doing anything, he didn't seem to mind, he just started singing a very intimidating song, but i had already gotten my own solution to the remaining two questions, so i summited my worksheet first all eyes were on me.😲
The Friday we got our result was a day I would never forget, the teacher first caller my name and asked me to stand one side in front of the whole assembly then he called every ones name in my class and their scores and those who did well he pardoned them from the canning and those who got low mark he gave then the canning right there, then it got to my turn, then i hear everyone clap for her she's got a perfect mark in this test, I was like wow😃😮 I knew in my mind that I did 90% of the solution myself ,
To be frank that was where my problem started, we got to class and my classmates started pointing fingers that my mark is not real that I also asked for help his did I score higher than those who solve the questions for me, I tried to explain to them that I had already written some of my solutions down , but they didn't want to hear me out, from there hence, I was snobed by both male and female in class
I wasn't invited to hang out with them after school, it even got to a point where a classmate sister from the junior class gather her friends and best me up during break time in school, I reported to the teacher who punished them but that didn't ease them, i was treated like I wasn't there for almost that term to end until I went to confront the teacher about the score and I told him everything that happened, it was he who came and cleared the air, and then explained why my score was higher , that was how I got free from bullying for a whole term in high school.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO STOP BULLIES
Parents should take out time to visit their child school at all times.
Teachers should be taught to should know how to read the situation or expression of their students
Parents should have time for their children at all times.
And also teachers should make out time to interact with the student, there should be a one on one talk with
