Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, it exciting to write on this week's prompt, it is actually a very funny experience to me as it was a one and first time happening, and so it's worth sharing.🤣
We were invited for a friend's child's naming ceremony, it was actually a friend from church. My husband isn't a party person, he always avoids going to any kind of party except it is very important that he does go.
The naming ceremony was in may, and thankfully it was I'm a Sunday, when the announcement was made in church, I had passed a glance at him, knowing the kind of person he was, I knee he would try to avoid it, so after the close of church service, everyone was talking about how to go for the event. I had already taken my mind off it cause I knew my husband will say he wasn't going and so I didn't bother asking. Just then he walked up to me and said '' babe we will be going for the party at mr Tolu's house" I was surprised as it was a first time for him to willingly want to go for a party without me bugging him to go.
So we took a cab to the friends house alongside other church members, the ceremony was conducted by our junior pastor and so the child was named "Jason" , then the menu menu, that is the food was then served, we all ate to our fill, and then the DJ starts playing songs and everyone was either talking to one another or dancing.
Not long after my husband who doesn't like parties stood up and started dancing, the sight was funny and surprising because from when we have been together he has for once ever danced at a party, many of our church members were also surprised at him dancing, even though he wasn't really a good dancer he still tried his best and danced, he put a lot of people expectation to dust, he was try a sight to behold.
Then a woman walked up to me to ask me what food he had eaten for that day, and I was like," it's just the food we were being served her o" I replied her with a smile.everyone was happy about the new baby and we're also happy about the sight of my dancing husband, as he light up the event with his dance moves.😁
I mean, you know having stayed with someone for a long time, and not knowing he had such a fun side to him, he was always one who would tell you to comport yourselves when in public, he sure did make me know there are other funny sides to him.
Someone said he must have been happy with the food that was served as he is a foodie, he doesn't joke with his stomach, having a filled belly sure does brings out the fun as good side of person.
After that day, I have always pushed him to attend parties more and not just stay indoor when something exciting was going on.
