Hello and Welcome to my creative Sunday post, in this weeks creative Sunday entry i would be sharing with With you all a #DIY creative accessory for the summer time season , the accessory is a perfect one for beach days, picnic days all summer activity in between because it features is one with depiction of free vibes and a statement piece that appears rather unconventional like "SUMMER"
Materials Used
Sewing
Scissors
Measuring tape
beads
Jewelry hook and loop
STEP BY STEP PROCESS
Step 1
Using a measuring tape i am going to measuring a thread lentht of 12 inches long, now i am further go ahead to cut out 5 thread of this length, placing them together to get the required thickness i want.. i am placing 3 of the threads i have created
Step 2
In the next step i am taking a tape , i am going to be using a piece of the tape to secure the ends of the Three threads, this is so that i am able braid the thread
Step 3
In this step i am braiding the thread with the conventional braiding method, i encourage you to learn braiding from tutorial online to complete this step.
Look After braiding to the length i want.
Step 4
In this step i am attaching the hook and loop, but before that i knoted the ends after braiding , i then attach the hook and loop before i cut the excess thread off.
Step 5
In this Step i am making the tassle which is going to be attached to the anklet for the bohemian look and to do this i am going to be using a 3 inch thread making a loop repetitively to create a a thickness for the tassle, after creating the loop i am cutting it to have 1.5 inche on both sides, right after that create a small loop at the top, then i am going to be securing the loop with thread and creating a knot.
The Final Result!!
The Anklet measures 9 inches in length, and by this step i had attached the tassle to the loop which now hung freely from it.
This is the final look of the braided anklet on my ankle what do you think of the look??.....Thanks for stopping by my creative Sunday post once again, comments your thought on this creative DIY, i hope to see you in m y next post. Ciao!!
