Every disappointment is surely a blessing

What I am about to write here is a true life story, and I really learned some lessons in it. This actually happened to one of my cousins who stay at Ogbomosho, Oyo State. To the glory of God, she is now married, but despite that, there were some things she did when she was growing up that almost cost her life. I believe these things include travelling around with unreliable companions and attempting to emulate someone you know from a distance even though they were a friend of yours in the past.
We all attended the same secondary school, and during that time, my cousin had a close friend, no one could get into their friendship, to tell you how close they were at that time, both the parents even knew about their friendship and that is why during their secondary school days, my cousin, and her friend are called Taye and Kehinde, to be sincere they almost look alike, why I am saying this is that if you don't know both of them from Adam, you will definitely think they are from the same parent.
There is a proverb in my dialect that says, “Omode ogun odun kole shere fun ogun odun" it simply means ," children of twenty years old of age can not play together for twenty years” it is a very deep proverb that is very true .this is where I am going exactly, they both got graduated from school after sitting for their W.A.E.C examination, now they were to wait for the result so that they can proceed to higher institution, but this was the painful part of it one of them made her paper while the other was lagging, the one lagging happens to be my cousin, it was a tough and painful moment for her this because both the friends already had the plan to attend the same higher institution with the aim of storing the same course.so all these plans on the ground was unable to be achieved because of the outcome of the results.
Fortunately for my cousin's acquaintance, she was able to immediately organize her admissions activities thanks to her father. So after a year of being accepted to her dream school, my cousin had to retake her examinations. She was disappointed that her close friend had been accepted to the school before her. Well, God has his plans for every single person in this life because man can only propose, then he disposes.
My cousin's admittance to the university didn't take long, but this time it wasn't to the same school because plenty of things had changed, delaying her entry into the university at the same time as her buddy. The funniest thing is that my cousin and her friend are no more close like before again .well, such is life.
It all started this way, that she began to see all the nonsense her was posting on her status on WhatsApp. This is someone who was very decent when she was still around her parents, so many questions started coming up in my cousin's mind and this is one of the questions she was asking herself" could it be that my friend is now into runs (olosho )? She kept quiet about it, so it wouldn't look as if she were beefing her friend.
Her friend was in her final year when we heard she had been used by yahoo boys. It was a shocking moment for us all when we heard the news. Her parents really tried their best to make things normal, but all their effort was a waste of time because she finally kicked the bucket. My cousin really learned a big lesson.
Lesson learned
1. In life, never compare yourself with anyone, no matter how close you are to the person.
2. Never be quickly to things in life.
3. Patiently wait for your time.
Here is my question to the story.
What if they both get admission and they both end up the same way because I am very sure they will both be doing the same things (let's not forget they are very close friends).
Thank you for reading my post.
This is my response to the hive learners prompt.
