It’s been such a joyous ride with hive learners since my verification. On Monday I joined my first hive learners community hangout. I think it’s something that is done every week.
The community hangout although quite long it wasn’t a boring one. It lasted for more than an hour but it was a eventful one. There was an agenda or program line up the moderators or mc of the hangout adhered to.
We started by enjoying some cool music with the bot then started conversations soon after.
The first on the agenda was the question of the day. The topic or question of the day was “If you had 48 hours to live, what would you do?”. The floor was opened for those interested in sharing their answers to do so but at the beginning members were not doing so. I don’t know if we just shy or hadn’t thought of anything yet.😅
The mc decided that we moved to our next agenda and allow members some time to think of their answers. A question was then asked with a prize of 5 hive. Who the last 3 winners of the weekly featured contents was the question and the first to answer was going to be awarded with 5 hive. Guess who got the answer right?😁👀
Maybe it was just beginners luck but then I was very fortunate to get the names of the winners right. I just managed to beat by a few seconds.😂
Lazy DJ our mc had bad network connection and so he asked DLMMQB to take over but not before getting a few members to talk about the hive learners community and to give their suggestions on how they think the community can improve.
One member took the opportunity to hail the community for their constant support and continuous weekly features contents where the community comes up with topics for members to write on. His answer for what he would do if he had just 48 hours to live was that he’d create as much good memories as he can with his loved ones.
Another member took the stage. He is a newbie and so he spoke about how the weekly featured contents help him to make posts because it’s difficult to come up with topics to write on sometimes. He then suggested that prizes be awarded to the top writers for each content. He was made aware that it already exists and of the prizes that are given to the featured top 3 writers.
Another member was given the chance to speak about how he’ll spend his last 48 hours and his answer was not to cause anyone more pain. He said he’d just stay indoors, enjoy himself and play more games. The idea behind this was spending more time with his loved ones and then creating more memories with them will only cause them more pain when he leaves the world after the 48 hours.
While members were sharing their thoughts, members were voting for the most engaging member in the community. Nkem emerged victorious and earned 5 hive and Olujay placed second winning 3 hive.
Nkem praised the community for all the good done but then encouraged every member to continue supporting each other in the form of voting, commenting and reblogging. She had noticed that some members promote their posts in the general post promotion page on our discord channel and do not actually fulfill the other requirements.
Some members share their posts but do not engage or support the posts of others. Everyone was advised to not do that and to do the right thing.

Nkem then answered the question of the day. Like they say, there’s no love greater than a mother’s and Nkem only proved that with her answer. She was only concerned about her children and said she would use the last 48 hours of her life to create some form of manual for her children that will guide their life. She would also call her loved to hear from them one last time and meet with those she can.
Lazy DJ was able to find stable network connection to speak. He said his biggest regret will not be producing children before his time was over but even he knows that is unrealistic 😂. He would want to achieve a lot more in his life.

It was time for post promotion and members with posts to promote were given the chance. DLMMQB handled this one and members shared the posts they wanted to promote. He made suggestions to some of the posts being shared and advised us on the kind of posts we should share. His enlightenment on make up was especially appreciated by everyone.
Members chatting.
I unfortunately couldn’t stay for the entire program as I had to attend to something else.
This hangout was very fun and educative and I can’t wait to be a part of the upcoming ones. I encourage other members to join us.
