In the world today, people share everything about their lives on social media "They say kindness comes from the heart" No doubt the scriptures said, "From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" Whatever we want to engage in comes from the heart (even wickedness) hehe!!, and that is why you hear people say "This person's heart is not pure" now that has to do with our actions, the heart can't speak, it's our actions that tell the way our heart looks "cause the heart is invisible" ( I still can't understand how such invisible things plays a vital role in our lives) it's invisible but yet can be seen and felt through actions.
People do good things for different reasons" which are best known to them" I have seen people do good things to others that people don't know about, just like a parable that says "If the right hand performed a kind gesture then the left hand shouldn't know about it" that's so secretive even with the closeness that exists between the two hands.
Little story: There is this particular content creator I follow online, there was a day she was walking on the road when she came across a young lady who was living in an abandoned property "She developed something strong for the lady the very moment she saw her" so she stopped her and was asking her some questions till it got to the part where the lady mentioned the place she lived, then the content creator followed this lady to place she was living "no human should live like that" the moment I saw the place (my eyes became teary).
So they went into the house and sat down for a while and the conversation started, the lady shared how she had been struggling to make ends meet, so the content creator took the lady out to the shopping mall and got her some nice stuff including some foodstuffs. Then the following day, the content creator came to the lady's house and told her she had a surprise for her, so the lady followed her till they got to a nice apartment the content creator handed over the house key to the lady "the joy in the eyes of the lady was contagious".

Now this type of kindness was done to gain followers "no doubt" but then it was way extreme because the lady benefitted a lot of things from the act, people don't care about the intention of the kindness cause no one had even helped the lady in secret "does that mean people aren't seeing" now I believe the intention is very important but then "people use an action to weigh the intention".
You can't say, you have good intentions for someone when your actions are saying something else, like " actions speak louder than words", I've concluded that both the intention and act are very important, they both complement each other cause when you have good intentions for someone you show actions "show working" and also your actions will still show you have good intentions for someone.
If someone was helping me just so they could gain something else in return: That's a big question, well, it depends on what my helper would be gaining from me, if it's something that won't cause me any harm then I'm not gonna feel bad but if it's something harmful then "we will meet in court".
