Hello
How are you all?
I haven't been active on the platform for the past few weeks. I apologize. The flash floods that hit our area have devastated everything. They took our belongings, they also took our brothers and sisters, and they have impoverished our economy. This is a situation I never imagined. In just two days, the floods submerged all our possessions, and now only tears can be seen from us and our generation.
More than a month has passed, but conditions are still not conducive. Mud still covers agricultural land, villages, and roads. Furthermore, certain areas are filled with logs carried by the flood, and mud up to 4 meters high covers villages and homes. We are truly in a state of despair.
What's even more distressing is that the government refuses to declare this a national disaster, even though it is clearly very serious and the government is unable to address it. However, they are blocking all foreign aid simply because of the leadership's selfishness and hidden sabotage from foreign parties.
In In the eyes of the world, Indonesia is doing well, but the reality on the ground is that the people are suffering greatly after the floods. Many have died of starvation, and many are still displaced, homeless, and have lost their possessions and jobs. We are desperately in need of donations from abroad. Here is some documentation from when the floods first started.
Technology has truly advanced remarkably. If only there were a company capable of creating robots equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) to evacuate people during floods, landslides, and other disasters. They could also help people clean up the debris left by the floods. This rapid development, aimed solely at assisting human labor, would perhaps be the breakthrough everyone has been waiting for.
Why must we engage in war? I think the current generation is very advanced and great in terms of practitioners and their thinking is fed up with war, if we do a survey throughout the world there are not even 10 percent of people who want to be involved in war, they prefer to solve problems through diplomatic channels, sometimes the trigger for war is just misunderstandings and also the selfishness of the leaders.
Even though robots can be created that can be ordered to replace soldiers in war, the effects of war still have an impact on humans, suffering and poverty will always haunt the people. I personally strongly disagree if a country competes to create robots with advanced AI for war purposes. No war is beautiful, but rest assured that peace is the best, peace and a life full of love are the real goal of life.
There is no problem that cannot be solved if we all respect and depend on each other. Prioritizing selfish and rash emotions in decision-making leads to division and war. Where will we spend the rest of our lives? Will we only suffer because of war, all of which can be prevented through diplomacy? Yes, I think our answer is the same. You also know Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I often read it, and all the needs mentioned are very much in line with the needs of all humans throughout the world.
