A Cultural Festival is a celebration of the traditions of a particular people or place. Everyone is proud of the Culture of their Area. Culture is characteristic of a specific group of people that varies from region to region.
Our culture shows how we celebrate our happiness. How do we celebrate our marriage ceremonies ? What kind of clothes do we like to wear? What kind of customs are popular in our area? etc
~ Punjab Cultural Day ~
My Son on Punjab Cultural Day.
I am from Punjab, Pakistan. Punjab has one of the oldest and richest cultures of the world. Its culture presents a multi-hued heritage of ancient civilizations.
We celebrate Cultural Day every 14 of March to show our traditional activities.
Fairs are held in different places. On this day, swings are set up for children in a large field. Kabaddi is played during the day. Weightlifting competitions take place in the evening. Qawwali is arranged at night. I was participated in kabaddi game when I was 22 years old. It was a great fun. But now, My health does not allow me to play kabaddi. People wear Punjabi dresses on cultural day.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, like every other year, this year too, for the promotion of Punjabi culture, celebrations were organized on this day in all the Arts Councils.

This day is also celebrated with great fervor in all schools and colleges at government level . Teachers and principal give speeches on the importance of Punjabi culture.
Students wear traditional dresses of Punjab like Dhoti and Kurta, Perform on short clips of Punjabi dramas and sing Punjabi songs.
I also used to take part in clips of Punjabi dramas as a child. Before performing on this day, we used to prepare a lot so that there would be no mistake while performing in front of everyone.
This time I really enjoyed this festival with my friends. We spent the whole day at the fair. We also watched kabaddi and stayed up all night listening to qawwalis.
