Child adoption is a life changing decision, this procedure can change change both parents' and the child's life. I know that many countries have strict rules for adoption and the processes takes long time because of various rules. Not only that the parents' also need to arrange documents and give interviews. Even if they passed all of these they still go through background check process. If the agency company find any mistake they can deny for adoption.
Many parents who wanted to adopt but couldn’t because of harsh rules, they complained how these rules are way too strict. They tried their best but they couldn't make adoption for these difficulties. There are valid reasons why people feel this way because there are many parents who can't conceive children and they want to adopt. People who cannot conceive they know that children from orphanages need love, care, and a safe home. They want to be parents so it's painful for them when they do not get the chance to become a parent.
I personally think that some rules can have less restriction, so that adoption process could become much easier and parents wouldn't have to go through any hassle. Still I think important rules for safety of the child should stay strong. I feel if the government and adoption agencies takes a good look at the parents who came for adoption and make sure that children are going to good families then half of the problems would get solved.
Well, childrens are human beings not one kind of animal that people can purchase as pet and take them home easily. Children at young age they do not know what's right for them, they need protection. If the agencies make a mistake then it can ruin a child's life. Even though I am young I don't have the idea of what being parents feel like because I do not have the desire to become a parent at this moment. But I know the basic things as a child, love alone is not enough to raise a child properly.
I think if the parents are mentally not stable or lack patience or still not mature enough to handle responsibilities then are not ready to adopt a child. Also, if they do not have enough money to provide education, daily essential needs, foods, healthcare and safety. So, there are many possibilities that some children could end up in a bad environment. Chances of childrens being neglected or being exploited will increase.
So, yeah that would be not a good experience for a child. The purpose of adoption is to make childrens life better not worse. On the other hand, I think the current system can make harder for good people to become parents. Like they wait for years and years because of unnecessary delays. Governments should take steps forward to make the system better, like they should make the procedure faster and less complicated. That doesn't mean that they should make it easy so that anyone can come and adopt without any proper paperwork.
So, the rules should be strict but not that much. Because if it's less strict that would not be any good for the child's well being. To make it safe for the children agencies should be careful. The aim should be to ensure child’s safety. If the amount of childrens getting adopted increases then that would be a beautiful thing but only if they are getting the possibility to go in a home where they will be loved. Because no children deserves to live a disaster life, they deserve all of the happiness.
