In general, I do not believe those who claim to sometimes receive help, help from somewhere, from above, from below (?), I am referring to help received from an unseen entity. Some say they know who this entity is, others call it the Universe, or God, and others call it coincidence. I am one of those who think more about coincidence because I do not see why the Universe, God, or whatever knows what entities would want to help me.
And yet, the coincidences are too many... to be just simple coincidences!
So I started this story quite confused, and now I am even more confused. But to explain: I have been away from Hive for about two months. Not because I wanted to.
Health problems...
I remember the times when I didn't have time to write and I wished to get sick, to stay at home and have time to write.
The saying is true: Be careful what you wish for, it might come true!
In my case, it did. I have back and spine pains that prevent me from sitting, so I have to lie down more in bed. Now I have time, but I can't write. In fact, with some effort, I could, but I seem to have lost my motivation. For almost two weeks, I have kept promising myself that I will start writing again and keep postponing.
However, today something happened. I opened Hive and read a fresh post, less than an hour old, written by , announcing that she envisioned a new community.
I am in love with summer; it has been my favorite season since I was a child, and even though it is harder to bear now, it will remain my favorite forever.
I jumped into the community as fast as I could, and I am trying to write with my laptop on my knees. My throat hurts a bit, but I think I will manage!
I wonder now: the fact that I opened Hive today and saw 's post - is it help, is it an encouragement received from the Universe, from God, from hard-to-define entities, or is it just a coincidence?
A question without an answer... This is how I ended up writing about summer, which I love and which I believe I have stories and beauty to show, and I have hundreds of photos.
I sit and think how foolish I am. I considered myself uninspired, now, in the middle of summer. It took 's help. Thank you!
Poppies!
Poppies are the messengers of summer for me, just as snowdrops are the messengers of spring. Snowdrops are universally recognized as heralds of spring, but about poppies, I don't think people see them from this perspective.
I, as a true lover of summer, am also a lover of the sea. The more a lover of the sea, the more a lover of the sea I am, as I have no sea near my home.
I started traveling to the sea after I turned 18. Generally, and eagerly, the trip to the sea started from the border of the spring-summer seasons, when the color of poppies reddened the fields I saw on the way to the sea. Thus, poppies mean to me the heralds of summer.
When I see the first blooming poppies, I start preparing for the trip to the sea! If someone new is wandering through this blog, I must tell them that I live in Romania, which is neighboring Bulgaria to the south. Both Romania and Bulgaria have access to the Black Sea. The first part of my life at the sea I spent in Romania, and in the second part, I went to the sea in Bulgaria.
Why? Someone might ask.
Bulgaria, being further south, has a more pronounced Mediterranean climate than Romania. It must be said that Bulgaria borders Greece. Greece...
Besides the Black Sea, Romania and Bulgaria have something else in common. A region called Dobrogea in Romanian or Dobrich in Bulgarian. I cross this region to get to Balchik, my eternal destination by the sea.
It is a sparsely populated region, with vast plains and wide horizons, a place where summer is at home and where I would have liked to grow up.
It is a place where poppies are the masters of the fields!
The first summer story was more of an introduction to the atmosphere and an explanation for what was to come.
I like to tell about my travels and share them with anyone who can and wants to read. I like it when I write, I remember. When I see the photos, I teleport with my mind and relive the beautiful moments once again. Summer Vibes!
