Wildflowers and domestic, all give us #gardeners JOY!!!!
Many of the flowers on our #homestead are wild, but I never hesitate to grow my own. Flowers give me joy and comfort. Don't ask me why, you either get it or you don't. The feeling of the dirt between my fingers and the hope of growing something beautiful gives me a sense of peace. Not everyone desires dirt under their fingernails, oh yesiree, I understand, my mom grew the most beautiful roses, but she NEVER, EVER, felt the dirt. She knew when to put her gloves on.
For me, not so much, I always have gloves with me, but somehow I manage to get my hands dirty.
The wildflowers here are always there, from early spring until late fall, it's so wonderful to see.
A transplant from my cousin Lauren's farm just up the road ,has given us the colorful reminders of #amazingnature. This rose of Sharon is blooming now with just one year of growth since it was transplanted in our yard.
Found this beauty just this morning, our climbing clematis. So bright in color.
I have no idea what this one is, but we call it our orange popcorn. This baby grows all over the place, so pretty and we pull a lot of them to add to our compost. They are easy to pluck, and add lots of water to our compost pile.
I so enjoy gardening, I feel peace and pleasure when I see things grow.
From one small seed, giants can grow...
Happy #gardening, #homesteading and of course, enjoying #amazingnature.
Hope y'all enjoy the ride.
Be at peace and as always, strive to be happy!!
