Hello fellow flower lovers,
I’m pretty new to the Hive platform, although I've been on Steemit for a while. Recently I had taken time off, so this is the first time I’m posting with a Community. I hope I’m doing everything properly. Posting pictures of my gardens and sharing them with people that appreciate flowers sounds a bit too good to be true, but I’m willing to give it a shot:)
It's early spring in New England. Many, many years ago I planted just a few of these small bulbs.
It was called Early Star Drift in the catalogue, but I’m not sure if that’s its real name.
It closely follows the crocus in the spring, so it is quite early…
and it does tend to drift.
The flowers are, in fact, clearly star-shaped. So, I can say with absolute certainty that Early Star Drift is an accurate name for these beautiful and prolific flowers.
Now I know others have posted for-get-me-nots, and I do not consider myself a competitive gardener. (If anyone tells you otherwise, maybe they’re just sore losers), but I have SO MANY for-get-me-nots growing in my yard that I can’t just ignore them! So here are just a few flowers representn'.
Although mostly blue, I have quite a few pink ones in the mix.
Forget-me-nots too tend to drift. Obviously, in my garden there is very little danger of them being forgotten.
Lastly I'll include my pretty pink and purple primroses,
and couple more forget-me-nots. (Just no getting away from them.)
I have much more but I don’t want to wear out my welcome on my first post. As I said, it’s only early spring here in New England. I have all summer. So looking forward to it:)
Thanks so much for checking out my post! I’ll be posting more soon!
