Did you know I have a Catholic cactus? Well to be honest I cannot actually say it is Catholic specifically, but I do believe it is rather religious! You see these plants are often referred to as either a Christmas cactus or an Easter cactus obviously due to the time of year that they typically bloom.
Here you can see some of the pink and red varieties on sale along with some poinsettias.
I have had this particular cactus for ages and it has always been a Christmas cactus. Just like clockwork, this plant will normally start blooming near Thanksgiving and continue till at least New Years day!
Oh but my little cactus is really making me a proud papa this year. Not only did it do an awesome show from Thanksgiving till New Years, it is incredibly blooming all over again! I mean it is crazy right? They had just quit blooming several months ago! I have an Easter and Christmas blooming cactus all in one!
Now that alone makes for a pretty good day, however, things got even better!
My pinkish purple orchid has been going great guns and making me proud for several weeks now. However...
My white orchid that has been on vacation for two long years, decided to show up for some fun as well!
