Ghana and many Africans have migrated to various industrialized nations in pursuit of work opportunities in recent years. It often seems that education in Ghana is pointless, particularly when students complete a university degree only to return home unemployed. Indeed, creating jobs has been a major concern for governments in Ghana and across Africa. There are work opportunities available, but they are not available to everyone. When this occurs, it has a direct impact on the pay that employees get at the end of the day.
Most people's ambitions in Ghana are to remain at home and raise a family, but the lack of work opportunities drives many young people to move to other industrialized countries in search of a better pasture. Except for work prospects, Ghana provides everything a person needs for real pleasure and joy. Those of us who have seen a lot of career chances nevertheless find it tough to get into them because of how much the work pays.
As a blockchain enthusiast and hive promoter in Ghana, I have yet to come across a blockchain platform that has provided an employment opportunity for Ghanaians other than Hive. It has done so for years and continues to empower individuals while also creating employment possibilities. I am overjoyed to be a part of hive, a decentralised blockchain social network where the blockchain's actions have provided jobs for Ghanaians who are having difficulty finding work.
Since the inception of the Hive Promotional Project In Ghana as an ecosystem empowerment programme, it has employed a number of people whose contributions have been critical in the construction of the well. Each of the suppliers that were employed has done an outstanding job in getting the well to this point.
Today I'd like to introduce you to a young guy (mason) who has been working on the hive project from its inception. He has done so well with the well's construction to assure its success. When I spoke with him the last time I was there, he conveyed his thanks for the job opportunity we had offered him. He didn't have a particular contract he was managing prior to being assigned the hive project. He did, however, eagerly agree to join us in the development of the hive borehole project.
Some of us may not take it seriously, but this individual conveyed his thanks to us for providing him the chance to work on the project. He has been able to gather some money to take care of the house and other personal matters, according to him. It is his desire, though, that he continues to get employment offers beyond this one so that he may earn some money to keep him employed. He hopes to see hive organising more of such projects so he could work with hive. I am overjoyed that hive has given this guy something to do with his limited time.
With the hive empowerment initiative in Ghana, we proved to the world that hive is not only providing drinkable water to the Fawoade community, but also providing work opportunities to persons whose services are required in the project's development. Every day, a number of other individuals are looking for a job like this. We are pleased of what hive has accomplished in Ghana. At the very least, this individual (mason) will always bear testimony to the fact that they were offered a job opportunity in the building of a well while they were unemployed at the time. Hive genuinely makes a difference in people's lives. Let us continue to use Hive to create jobs for others.
