The problem has been the focus of the marketing. We need to stop focusing on the base layer tech and start trying to onboard new people to projects that are focused around the project focus, like us. Not just rebuilding the same badly designed social media front ends. I mean I appreciate what Inleo has tried to do, but still, it's the same old social media idea.
We at Blocktunes are changing things up and putting the focus around the music, putting it front and center instead of the posting community. We started our streaming service built on blockchain tech as it should have been done in the first place, but the music is still front and center, not the posting rewards. Trust me, I was planning on moving to EVM chains or even Solana, but I keep coming back because Hive has the best tech for what we are trying to do. Gas costs on the other networks would break us as it did Audius and other platforms that have tried to build on those chains.
The 'leadership' on this chain has been notorious for not communicating well. Plus, we have been in a bear market, which is never good for anyone but it's great for devs because we can build without the rush, like when we started in 2022 at the top of the hype which was horrible timing, lol. Now, we have completely rebuilt our platform, we can focus on the music and offering tools and services to musicians and fans alike instead of trying to impress the existing Hive community, which I'll lean to say has been on the downward spiral since 2022 as well.
Anyway, I am still reluctantly here, building, but are not focusing on the existing Hive community, we are focused outward to bring in fresh talent and fresh ears!
