Petone Beach, Wellington.
Today was about taking our 5-month-old puppy (Bruno) for his first visit to a beach. This stretch of beach (3km approx) is purposely set aside to allow unleashed dogs, it's also popular for families to swim as well.
Bruno had his first day at dog obedience school yesterday, so today was another first. Initially he was scared but a toss of a stick was all that he needed to get him into the water. The youngest grandson had no problem getting in there :-)
We quickly realised Bruno needed to be leashed at all times. He was easily led away from us with other dogs, and we had to chase him down but hopefully the obedience school would fix that.
Wellington Harbour put on another spectacular hot day.
